Thoughts:

Hunter, Thompson, Guiliani, and McCain all looked really good.

Ron Paul looked average.

Romney looked horrible.

Huckabee didn't get enough airtime to me.

Tancredo didn't do anything special.

Romney took a few nasty upper cuts.

Thompson is the most straight shooter. He is the non commical Biden.

Huckabee seems like a nice guy and comes up with good answers.

Rudy I could never vote for. He cheers for Boston. Thats fine and dandy if your not a New Yorker or a Yankee fan. That's traitor material in my book.

Mccain I don't know about. He reminds me of Kucinich. He is too calm and collective. I gotta have a president with some bark and bite. After all it is the most powerful position in the country.

Ron Paul is coming off a bit like Howard Dean.

I'd advise Huckabee (and others) to avoid the cheap and easy Hillary joke. Its unbecoming and gives credence to her as a legitimate opponent.

I thought Mitt's response to the flag question was perfect.

While I don't care for Rudy(and I can't put my finger on why that is), I thought he did a great job of showing his experience. Rather than simply saying "I ran NYC" he said "I ran the 3rd largest government in the country" or something to that effect. Much more powerful when you put it in perspective.

So years as a POW doesn't count? Would surviving beatings and torture while not denouncing your country to the perpetrators of the torture get any points in the "bark and bite" column?

Really? I thought Rudy G looked TERRIBLE! I thought Romney seemed very stern and after tonight I have decided that he would be an excellent V.P.

I thought Guiliani looked solid, really did.

Romney rubs me the complete wrong way, seems like he as flipflopped on most issues at least once in his career and it bothers me. I didn't like that line about how people are coming after him because he is out in front. I think his plan was to sink money into NH and Iowa and then convince Republicans that no one else can beat Hilary.

That is why I think he would be good as a V.P. He is cocky and arrogant and America needs someone who is arrogant, as silly as that sounds.

On that same note, I would NEVER vote for Romney as my President

I'll get to this tomorrow. I think I broke it down in a decent amount of detail for the Democrats so I will do it here again, unless anyone is opposed.

I just think he is too laid back and when he went after someone and that person came back at him he refused to look anyone in the eye. Your body language and poker stare means a lot in these kinda debates. I think he has great views on things on though.

Thought Huckabee did well. Liked his response to Thompson's ad about what his old pastor told him about being kicked in the rear. And also the WWJD response.

Beyond the cute responses, I thought he straightforward answered questions.

Romney impressed me for the first time last night, especially with how he handled the abortion question.

Ru Paul is like the old cranky uncle who makes a lot of noise at family reunions.

I thought Duncan Hunter did excellent. Maybe best of the night.

I thought Rudy lost it with his attack on Mitt that made no little sense and then didn't adequately defend himself on the sanctuary city question. He did recoup that a little towards the end with some good answers.

I would like to see McCain smile a little. He acted like he was constipated all night. Had that little grimace on his face. I did think he should he could stand up to the Dems by calling out Ru about the Iraq policy.

Fred has disappointed me. Sounds good at times and then stumbles tremendously. I liked his remark on the Cheney cartoon.

For those wondering, I am not depressed this morning as I was after the Dems debate.:p
