Bailey Howell Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Girls opening night no one covering the games. Scores on page 3 the stories about the games were called in by the schools.
Cubster Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Plus no boxscores. I bet a boys game somewhere will be covered in person tonight.

bb junkie Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 How does that fit in with Title 9?Media isn't included.
cardinalsvoice Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Come on down to the western end of the state as we have several media outlets that covers both the girls and boys. I know my station we cover the Mayfield girls and boys. Others schools that have their games on the radio or in the paper include Graves County, Marshall County, Murray High, Calloway County, Paducah Tilghman, Lone Oak, Heath, and Ballard Memorial...and I may be leaving a school or two out. The girls practice and play just as hard as the boy and deserve to have their games on local radio just as the boys do.
98NCCalum Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 If people cared, they'd be there. Why do you never see MLS scores in the paper? No one cares. Or should I say, not enough people care.
Lunatic1 Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Our Indiana paper does a great job of covering sports for our local area... Here is the girls coverage for Trimble and Carroll and I am certain that the Boys will be covered today. http://www.madisoncourier.com/main.asp?SectionID=18&SubSectionID=289&ArticleID=40165&TM=27939.33 http://www.madisoncourier.com/main.asp?SectionID=18&SubSectionID=289&ArticleID=40164&TM=27976.95

highschoolsportsfan Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Well, I know that the paper may not have covered a game Monday night, but we were on the air for the West Carter v Elliott Co girls game. So someone was covering the games! And we will be in Raceland Thursday night for the Lady Comets and Lady Rams. We will have live reports and some play by play of the EKC Showcase Saturday with East/Rowan and West/Lewis.
Lunatic1 Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Amen. Nky girls basketball we could fall:sleep: at... Nice Post..Actually it is well followed in our community and in the surrounding counties.
Big Slick Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 The paper is a business, tell your fans to call/email the paper and request the games be covered.
98NCCalum Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Amen. Nky girls basketball we could fall:sleep: at... NCC's Girls BBall program is good and I haven't looked at a score or been to a game in YEARS.
