Lance has been working all year without a contract. I'm hearing he will give CC first run at keeping him, but after the last trend I'm not sure that's going to work out. There has been talk since I was hired at Cumulus that 96.5 would go all sports. Add Dan Patrick after the Angries and Lance before Furman and there you go...

 

If you like all sports. I really like Glenn Beck. I'd rather have Lance then Furman. I heard you on his show, by the way, you sounded great. However, Furman, unless he just makes a living playing Devil's Advocate, is a hypocrite, and it's hard to listen to him. Lance understands sports much better than Furman, and he sticks to his guns, which I respect. Since Furman's crap article on Coach Faust I've been anti-Furman. Now his on again, off again love affair for Kelly. Like I said, unless that is his schtick, and I'm not familiar with him from the Sports Animal, than he's a hypocrite. Either way, I don't think that he understands the intracacies of sports very well.

They would be wise to sell what they can, but they don't seem to want to pull the trigger. And it's not just Cincinnati. They have poorly run clusters in markets all over the country...

 

I have from about as reliable source as you can possibly have, that Gary Burbank has been ready to leave since CC took over. Only the love of what he did kept him there.

After a break in period, I really liked their show. Doyell was abrasive on the radio, I guarantee he didn't give in to some D-Bag at Clear Channel. CC had all the leverage, wow!

Andy is certainly a devil's advocate guy. Many times I've seen him on a rant, and then he gets in a break and laughs about getting people worked up. I wasn't a big fan before I got to know him. Now he's OK in my book.

Cumulus and CC both making a play for Dan Patrick's show?

Have heard that XU and even UC would love to make jump over to Cumulus.

Some are none too happy that Louisville is in the market for something like 10 years.

Doyel being gone is a welcome sound to my ears, what a blow-hard, arrogant, desk-jockey. Dan Patrick is as good as it gets and I have always loved Lance's show b/c there is a variety there and I personally like that. The 2 Angry Guys are a bit to much for me at times, but I will give them a listen to.

 

The "Cut-Man" is the absolute best for me though, very passionate and knowledgeable. I really enjoy his show and have listened to him for years when he was doing the same gig in Lexington.
