Oxnard, I am a bit sorry that your feathers were ruffled by something that I must of said in my post, but I believe that I should be able to post my thoughts just as you can and not be bashed by another BGP member. I don't know my twin Jim Seymour #85, but I am sure sorry that he got brought into this discussion, he just has an opinion too I would guess.

I still believe that the Tigers will win with a running clock.

Oh, by the way I am a Corbin Redhound fan and have been for life, I just happened to get transfered to the big city.

I am also sorry that there is so much anger with your affiliation with the Tigers and your undoubted dislike for the Rocks.

Well said. Some people can't take a compliment or genuine recognition of an outstanding Team (X).

Meade will not come into this game with the nothing to lose attitude. They feel that they have the state to lose. We do not get the chance year in and year out to compete for the regional more less the quarters or state. We have been this far one time before, 1991 state runners up. We know that we are not supposed to win this game. We have a small line that mostly goes both ways. We have d backs that average 5'9 150. Our running backs 1 soph.5'8 170, 1 senior 5'9 165. We probably have 3 or 4 kids that run under a 4.6 40. Heck, we only dress 53 players.

All this being said, any of you on this board would be proud of these kids if they represented your school. Meade County started out 0-3 and decided losing wasn't fun. 10 staight since.

It is true that the X men are the best team in the state. Nobody would argue that. But the kids at Meade believe in themselves and they believe in each other. We as the Greenwave nation will stick behind these kids until the last second ticks off their season. Hopefully that will happen at Papa Johns.

I believe that if Meade plays like it has been they have a decent chance to pull the upset. You can measure up the records of the schools X wins ,no contest. Atheletes X no contest, tradition X again. I can keep going but you get the picture. What you can't measure is love, for your teamates , your school, community, and the biggest thing you can't measure is heart. The Meade boys have the heart of Lion.

I will tell you ,and listen to what I say....Meade will come to play Friday, will it be enough? I hope so, but I don't know. They are not getting the respect that I think any school should get that has gotten this far. We as adults some times get caught up in all the hype for ourselves. I am as guilty as anyone. By the time I set back and read some of the things I wrote the night before it is too late to edit. But it's the kids that play the game. 80% of the readers are kids. If it wasn't for the kids we would not even be in this forum. I am on this web sight to support the Greenwave I believe that they can win this. On any given night anyone can be beat. X fans you have a heckofa team. Good luck but not too much. Let the best team not win.

Have to admire your passion and your obvious love for your school -team - and community. You are also correct - and I don't beleive - any team got this far as a 'fluke." They are all outstanding and accomplished much. You have every right to be proud.

We play team football . 11 kids to the ball on D that will gang tackle you if you are struggling to stay up. On offense we try to block our man. It is 11 kids against 11 kids. Simple statement, but big task.

We are winners no matter the outcome on Friday. We have been the underdog all year,so we are feeling right at home. Thank you guys for the compliments, I am sure the kids on both sides will read this forum and know how much love there is for both teams. I have put Meade first all year and I have got to stick with the Greenwave this week. I hope this is a low scoring game.

I love Jeff Ruby's, the steaks are very comparable, I like a lower key atmosphere, and that resides at Morton's, besides I get mad hook-up's there.

If you don't mind the brief thread-jack, I will never again eat at a Morton's. I asked for my steak rare and it was "suggested" that I not do that, then they brought it to me pink, and the mark-up on the wine I ordered was as unconscionable a farce as I have ever encountered.

 

If you want steak, a drink, and old-fashioned atmosphere, get a wad of cash and go to Pat's.

If this occurred, one of you two would have to wear white. Two teams wearing green pickle uniforms on the field at the same time would cause an awful lot of confusion. :lol:

 

I would have thought that the Rocks would have preferred a chance to get the job done against the Tigers themselves, but maybe I'm wrong. But then again, if you don't think you can accomplish a task yourself, the next best thing is to have someone else do it for you.

You ate at the Morton's here? I have never had a bad steak there, and unless you ordered the Prime Rib, I can't imagine see how they would ever suggest another temp on your cut of beef. The wine is supremely over priced. I do love Pat's, but I hate a bacon wrapped filet, and it isn't the same without it. That said, bang for the buck, I still love Del Frisco's and their chef Giles Lehto.

I am a Stoney River at the Summit fan for steaks topped up with Creme Boulet!! Notice nobody mentions Ruth's Chris because we liked the Terrace better!
