OK, here is the scenario.

My team is in first (10-1) with a sizable point lead and the 2nd place person (who I just beat) is 8-3. I have already had a playoff spot clinched for weeks. We basically have an equally difficult schedule the rest of the way out.

60% of the money goes to the top league team, 40% to the top tournament team. I figure I am nearly a lock for the league lead.

Matt Hasselbeck has been on my bench all year. My receivers are good, but Plaxico has been struggling. My RB's are deep but not spectacular, and Marion Barber has been bad. I made this trade:

I traded Tom Brady, Plaxico Burress, Heath Miller, and Travis Henry, for:

Reggie Bush, Terrell Owens, and Tony Gonzalez.

My reasoning is that Brady will sit the playoff weeks, and Hasselbeck is doing great. Also, receptions are completely overpriced, worth way too much, and Bush gets a bunch. Did I make a good move? Should I have left the TE's out of it? It's too late, but I am kind of regretting it.

Bush is an improvement over Henry, Owens over Plax, and Gonzo over Miller, but there is no way I would've ever parted with Brady. He could win the playoffs by himself.

You think that he will play those last 4 games? He will break the record before they are over. And I've said it every week (falsely) and I will say it again: will he keep up this pace?

Brady is THE reason I am in 2nd place, and would be in first except the 1st place man has Adrian Petterson (but I have a chance to catch up with him injured), Randy Moss, and Carson Palmer.

I was thinking of trading Tony Romo who is not backing up Tom Brady, to him for Randy Moss. I was thinking that would be bad if the Pats decide to rest Brady and Moss.

He is on a mission.

The rest of my team is solid: Braylon Edwards, Roy Williams, McGahee, Barber, Jesse Chatman, Pitt and Jax on D, as well as the guys I just traded for.

He's been doing it for 10 weeks, so I'll say yes...

If they have a chance to go undefeated, you better believe he'll be in there.

As soon as I saw the name Brady I figured you messed up. I couldn't get rid of him if it were me but I understand your reasoning. Bush has been banged up some. If Owens keeps scoring the way he has been then I think you will be fine. Croyle might actually help Tony G so that is an upgrade. It's going to be tough seeing somebody else rack up the points with Brady though. Hasselback is playing well right now so that is a good starter but there is only one Brady IMO.

Good luck though I can understand why you did what you did I just couldn't let go of Brady.

I guess what it is is that my league stinks, and I feel like I will win the 1st place prize with this new team.

The only reason this will be bad trade is if Brady continues his dominance into the last 4 weeks of the season, which is possible. If he sits I will look smart, if he plays, I will look dumb but probably still win. We will see

Brady is not going to sit, IMO, so this was a bad trade.

At this point, I'd trade my whole team for Brady and Moss and be comfortable riding them the rest of the way.

You could probably cobble together enough FA's to pick up the slack...

RULE #1: NEVER, EVER get rid of Tom Brady. He is not going to sit because they have a point to prove - that they can go 16-0. I like the three players that you got, but Brady has been scoring 35-55 points a week for my team.
