That's what sportsmanship is all about!!!:thumb:

Great job last night Frankfort. You were the better team and proved that you have a great chance for the state title.

In regards to my raiders, these boys are very close to my heart and I wish them all the best in their future endeavors. I know several who can go on to the next level and have a great career. If you want it go out and get it. We will greatly miss our 12 seniors next year. They have truly been a joy to watch from flag to youth to middle school to today. These guys have a lot of heart and class. No matter what the scoreboard read, you are and always will be winners in my book.

Welcome to the site, Raiderrumbler!

Any truth to the rumor that Coach Poynter is leaving Trimble after this year?

That rumor has been going around since he has been there.

I would not blame him, Trimble is done for several years.

Congrats on this year, their kids deserve it. Man they played hard and smart.

Wow, 80, thanks for the two-handed comment. :irked:

Give Poynter more credit than that, too. He wouldn't leave any program BECAUSE of a drop in talent. IF and when he left, it would be because he has taken a program as far as he could go and there was someplace else where he felt that he could contribute more.

What a ridiculous reason to think about leaving. Talent always ebbs and flows, but some steeper than others, of course.

It's funny. That's the same rumor that would go around every year about Coach Foley leaving Frankfort.

I might add PERCEIVED drop in talent...though Trimble graduates ten seniors that saw major time, they also have several underclassmen that gained a great deal of varsity experience this year - Sullivan, Edens, Posas, Smith, Hunt...and others that played on special teams or contributed greatly on JV - Renfro, West, Sands, Edington, Newby.

Cody Webster and the new 6'4 175 WR transfer from Flordia that will be out there next year. CJ Oberhausen.

This is funny it starts every year at this time.

Well when you take a program from where coach Poynter has to where it is now you'll get looks from other programs. It's just a compliment to the fine job he's doing at Trimble.

No doubt about that...he has done tremendous things here.

Trimble has some kids on the sidelines that obviously will have to step it up next year for them to be as good as the past two years. They have a very good corps of skill players coming back. Replacing backs the caliber of Hawkes, Peters and Bird will be a challenge and losing 5 senior linemen (4 starters) will be instrumental.

Sullivan, Edens and Posas should be able to make things happen. Smith will be anchoring the line next year and just hope some of the young linemen get in the weight room and make huge strides.

With the added ability to mix up the offense throwing and running that they developed this year they should continue to be good. Don't count them out just yet.

Keep up the great work in Bedford!!
