Any word on the Fairview Quarterback Colt Phelps?

 

I heard it was a knee injury?

My understanding is that he tore something in his knee. His kneecap was twisted to one side. That's all I really know at this point. I hope he is okay. He's a tough competitor.

Prayers going up for the Fairview player (Phelps), from what all I have ever heard about this kid is that he is a good kid and is obvious that he is a good football player.

 

Hopefully someone can keep us updated on his condition.

Raceland's RB Bret Denton ran for 201 yds. on 23 carries with two touchdowns! Great job by the "Dentonator".

 

Of course no back goes anywhere without the rest of the team contributing, especially the "O" line. :thumb:

Robby Logan had pressure on the Fairview QB's all night plus 2 huge sacks to stop drives. Robbie really played well on the O line as well openiin hole for Denton and Carver all night long. QB Tyler Boyles did a nice job making good decisions with the ball and not panicking trying to make something out of nothing. Boyles has matured into a great leader for the Rams!

Your right, Denton gets the stats and and worked hard for them, but the O line controlled the line of scrimmage and opened some big wholes. The difference for any offense is: the offensive line controlling the opposing defensive line.

Denton and Carver will look like super stars with that line blocking as well as they did last night. And I am sure that Denton and Carver will tell you that they like it that way.

Rams played extremely well defensively tonight. They were physical and swarmed the ball. Raceland had a chance to punch one in at the 9 with 2:00 to go, and again Coach Hoof showed great class and sportsmanship taking a knee. The Rams played very disiplined football tonight. 1-0!!!! Now it is time to focus on LCA. Great job this week at practice getting ready for the playoff run by the coaches and players. The Rams responded to big time adversity and that is the makings of a team that can go deep into November/early December. Keep working hard! Now let's go grab our 2nd District Title in row in Lexington next Friday!! Coach Cooksey and Fairview players had a nice season with alot of controversy, and the players perserved and bounced back into the playoff this season. The Fairview players should be proud of their season and know that they will be better in life for enduring under the worse and best of times. Go Rams beat LCA!!!

Rams played very inspired football. Hats off to the coaching staff for having them ready. Great job by Carver and Denton and hats off to the offensive line on a job well done. The defense was very physical and got a total team effort by everyone.

 

The new Orange pants looked awesome.
