They used to wear the black jerseys all the time to the playoffs and come out to "Back in Black" by AC/DC. A few years ago I was talking to former Ram Coach and asked him where the black jersey idea came from came from and he said that it usually was because "Beechwood, Newport, or Dayton" was burying their season and black was the color you wear to a funeral.

 

So I can understand why they went orange. Black has some bad memories! LOL! :thumb:

The Orange Out was awesome!!! All orange is way better than all black and yes back in the day it usually was a loss to the eventual state champions. Orange is a much more of an alive color. Although I do have my dad's old black jersey here at the house maybe I will wear it next Friday, I know he can't wear it anymore!!:lol:

I think they need to wear all orange next week at LCA. They look good and the boys love them. It might help them play beter. If you look good you might play great. Every body ask Randy about it.

Rams played very inspired football. Hats off to the coaching staff for having them ready.

Raceland's coaching staff is very good, and I have to say that I have been very impressed with them this year. I have said they are great before, but I have noticed them picking it up a notch this season. Coach Vanderhoof is doing a great job, and I really enjoy watching him coach. And if Vanderhoof is the brain of the program, then Coach Maynard has to be the heart, Maynard is doing a great job and well prepared for every game. Coach Salmons has been a great addition to the staff, and appears to be a great compliment to Maynard. Coach Burroughs, Coach Francis, and Coach Fannin are great positions coaches and doing a great job of getting the players ready.

 

Great coaches and great people, they are doing a great job.

He brings a lot of Championship Tradition to the Rams and the Raceland program is fortunate to have him as well as the coaches you mentioned. Hats of to the Administration for bringing quality individuals to our program.
