November 5, 200718 yr No WR can be clutch all on his own, but if you think Moss is just benefitting from having Brady the Almighty tossing it around at will, I don't see how we watched the same game. Moss was THE difference yesterday. Which, IMO is why as of this moment I say Randy Moss is the league MVP, and not Tom Terrific.
November 5, 200718 yr At worst, the two are equal. Now that we're seeing what Brady can do with a good WR corps, I'm not so sure he's not better. Manning has always had the better weapons, and as a result, he looks like the better QB, numbers-wise. Not saying Manning isn't a great QB, because he's one of the best ever. But the gap between the two, as I've long suspected, just isn't as big as it's made out to be by fans and national media, if there even ever was a gap.HATER! HATER! :jump:
November 5, 200718 yr They come out of it knowing the path runs through New England in January. I'm sure they feel just awesome about that one... That still has yet to be determined...if I am the Colts I do my best to get to 15-1...and then hopefully the Pats get banged up or whatever...they certainly aren't worried about the Pats right now.

I seem to remember the Pats pretty much blowing a game last year against the Colts with NO RECEIVERS ON THE TEAM AT ALL...So there is no way that you can prove that. Because if Moss was going to be out, the Pats would have used a different game plan, and well no ones knows if it would have worked or not. I mean Brady has been going against Manning and Colts his whole career without receivers, and has still won more games than Manning has against the Colts. This is one of the first games Manning had to play against the Pats without having Harrison, yet he still had another great receiver and great tight end to throw to. So Manning still had more than Brady ever had against the Colts until this year when he got some receivers actually...

November 6, 200718 yr ^ So we need to call this a wash....we have Tom Brady with the best defense...and Peyton had the best offense.....now they have leveled the playing fields, and Super Bowl 41 1/2 didn't let us down on that.
November 6, 200718 yr Moss was the difference, he was unreal at points (like the onehander.) Absolutely no dog in the fight, but if the Colts have Harrison they win this game. JMO. I think the bogus interference calls against New England that resulted in about 100 yards of offense probably offset Marvin's absence to some degree...the first one was close, but I could live with. The second big one was garbage and was closer to being offensive interference than anything. Then the Colts almost tackle Faulk and no flag...and of course, the call against Moss in the end zone...are you kidding me? I'm not buying Indy wins next time with Harrison. This was their chance and they didn't get it done...like I said before the game, this game was far more important for Indy than New England because I don't think the Colts can go to Foxboro and win in January and this game probably cost them any shot at home field advantage. Observations 1. I don't see the Pats allowing Joseph Addai to turn a 5 yard dump off late in the half into a 70 yard TD if they meet again. 2. The Colts pass rush will be far less effective in Foxboro in January. The crowd noise and the dome and the turf really magnify those edge rushers...it will be a different story next time. The Pats will protect Brady better, and when they do, he'll pick the Colts apart. If they meet again, the Colts can't beat New England away from the dome. Next time, I expect New England to jump ahead and force the Colts to play catch-up, which will take Addai out of the game to a large degree and allow them to come after Manning, which will inevitably lead to some mistakes. But, it's a bit early to predict the next matchup I suppose...
November 6, 200718 yr I really can't see how the Colts can beat New England in New England at that time of year (come on Global Warning) . . . . BTW, I do think it sounds crazy...but I think that Baltimore and Pitt can beat this New England team. Baltimore doesn't have the offense. New England will destroy them. Pittsburgh does have the type of team to beat New England, but playing in Foxboro is a tall order. The Giants in week 17 is the game, IMO...the Giants have the offense so they can score enough and they have the pass rush that could slow the Pats offense down...that's the blueprint for beating New England. IMO, it's going to be almost impossible for a team to execute that game plan in Foxboro, so whoever beats them, IMO, will have to do it on their home field...the Giants seem to be the only team with a chance from my perspective.
