November 1, 200718 yr This is another "scrimmage game" so what really matters it is another game/practice to get some things worked out vs. someone other than yourselves in a practice. As in any game, I am not concerned with who will be the leading scorer, just how does the "Team" look and are they playing as a "Team". :thumb: :thumb::thumb:
November 1, 200718 yr I don't think Bradley is gonna be shooting as much as last year. Didn't look for his shot much against Pikeville, so unless everyone is having an off night, and he has to start shooting I look for him to lead in assist with either Meeks, Patterson or Crawford leading the scorers on a regular basis. Not many people might know this but I think Bradley led the team in assists last year as well...Also I think another reason why though that he passed on some shots, is that he just didn't look to comfortable with his outside shot last night IMO. However I bet we will see him take some more of those shots he passed up last night, when he does have his shot feeling good...
November 2, 200718 yr One thing I like about Billy G. is if somebody has an open shot, they have the green light. Before, they had to look inside first. Nothing wrong with looking inside, it is my humble opinion, that this cause you to hesitate. You don't want open jump shooters hesitating.
November 2, 200718 yr Patterson didn't look very "jittery" to me! I would expect Patterson might get a few more minutes against Seattle than he did against Pikeville, so he'll have a good chance. I didn't say he looked jittery, but even in his comments after the game, he seemed stunned by the thunderous reception he received. The butterflies had to be churning. This kid is a total player and I can't wait to see what he develops into for the Cats! However, Meeks is still my favorite Cat right now.
November 2, 200718 yr It depends on whether Elgin Baylor is healthy and playing for Seattle or not. Oops. My bad, I was in a "Happy Days" Time Warp from '58. As Gilda Radnor said, "Never Mind." I was just going to make an Elgin reference but I see another "old guy" beat me to it. Nice job, Hatz.
