Cubster's Halloween 16th Region Poll

Featured Replies

Who has Rose Hill beat to get a top five?????????????? Correct me if i'm wrong they didn't even make it out of their district.

The same can be asked about Fairview. That doesn't change the fact that both are among the most talented in the area.

I believe that Rose Hill is more talented than Fairview. I also believe that Cubster has Rose Hill rightly placed in third, and Fairview isn't as proven as Rose Hill.

IMO quite few people are overlooking (underestimating) Raceland.

Maybe one reason is bc of a new coach at the helm this season, I don't know. Raceland should be ready to go with Sparks, Boyles. Barker, Tolliver and others. A few of these kids are still currently playing on the football team for the Rams and in the playoffs there. Hopefully they are still concentrating on football for now as imo there will be plenty of time to get into "basketball shape".

Imo the basketball Rams will have pretty good season and it is a long way to the district tourney so we will see how it all plays out. Football players Boyles, Sparks, Tolliver and others should be very good on the basketball side of things as well.

The Rams may not be the 16th regions best but jmo they could be a factor before all is said and done.

1. Elliot

2. Ashland

3. Rose Hill/Raceland

5. East carter

6. Fairview/Boyd

8. West Carter

9. Lewis Co.

10.-16. "you pick em"

(Really after the top 5 - 6, it is about anyones pick down to around #14 - JMO)

IMO Raceland is third and it is a toss up between Ashland and East Carter for second.

Who is underestimating Raceland?

We may know a lot more about Rose Hill even before the regular season starts; when they scrimmage Mason County. Last year when these two teams scrimmaged at Harrison County, it was a blow out. With another year of maturity, it will be interesting to see their progress.

I agree Cubster. At #4 that hardly sounds as though you were overlooking them. Maybe some people feel they are #1 this year?? :D :thumb:  :sssh:

Looks like it is going to be a good year in the 16th Region.

Hopefully everybody stays healthy.
