Did Scott County get in trouble for the Haddix or Jones incidents? Danville?

Haddix didn't get to play his senior year at Scott Co. There was no incident with Jones. His family made a legit move to Georgetown.

Scott County was not at fault in either case.

Elizabethtown was fined $6,000 and placed on one year's probation earlier this year because of eligibility issues from a basketball player in the 2005-06 season.

A bunch of schools, including Henry Clay and Tates Creek, were placed on probation for Title IX violations a few years back.

Now defunct Whitesburg High School was penalized for girls basketball recruiting violations in 1994-96. They forfeited all games and were put on five years probation.

For the record I read this to be,

11 publics and 4 privates (for my friends sticky and birdsfan, 10 publics, 4 privates and 1 public that is just like a private.:D;):p:sssh:)

6 rurals and 9 urbans. (this one is real subjective. rurals: Whitesburg, Johnson Central, Henderson County, North Laurel, Rose Hill (not sure where it is located), Prestonsburg. Some I was not real sure where they were located.)

So what does this figure percentage wise with the total number of publics and privates...

Are these teams that have been Investigated or Actually Found guilty of a Violation???? Johnson Central as far as I know has not been found guilty yet... So I guess we can remove them..

Thanks. So Scott Co. hasn't been in trouble with the KHSAA?

As far as I know they have never had to forfeit any games...

Lots of rumors and grumblings because some high quality athletes have moved into the district.

I can't edit the thread. If a mod could please change it to "KHSAA Violations" it would be much appreciated.

BlueBoy,

Can you think of any other schools that have commited KHSAA violations?

What were the allegations and subsequent findings of fact in the Mike Mitchell case?

Zero allegations of recruiting. I've seen the file. The only reason Highlands was sanctioned was because they played Mitchell after the judicial system ruled him eligible to play. The fact that Highlands had the audacity to follow the ruling of this country's judicial system as opposed to the administrative decision of a group of Superintendents, Coaches and AD's that comprised the BOC upset the BOC members and they vindicatively sanctioned Highlands. The really ironic part of that whole situation is that after the sanctions were levied, the judicial system finally ruled in Mitchell's favor, thus had the BOC waited until the judicial system had finally ruled on Mitchell, they never could have sanctioned Highlands to begin with. How do you like those apples? Pretty amazing isn't it.
