Corey Robinson setting new qb records

Featured Replies

Corey Robinson (Lone Oak Senior QB) is only 4 Td passes away from breaking Justin Burke (Lex Cath) 2005 reord of 62 Td passes completed in a single season. Also, Corey is ahead of Tim Couch (Leslie Co) 1994 75.1 percent completion rate with a mark of 76.7 percent.

Corey's stats:

Att-Cmp-Int Pct Yds Td Long

275-211-4 76.7 3224 59 75

Wow! Those are great numbers. Congrats to him. Are they running the spread or the Tony Franklin System? How big of a kid is he, and has gotten any offers yet?

Lone Oak spreads the field & runs Tony Franklin's System. Corey is 6'2" and weighs about 190 lbs & runs about a 4.7 & benches 260 & has a cannon arm (can throw a football 70 plus yards). A lot of schools have shown interest in Corey but he is still unsigned & probably want decide until Jan 2008 according to Coach Haskins.

Lone Oak ran a spread offense the last couple of seasons ... Jack Haskins was running the run-and-shoot at Calloway County in the late 1980s, so it's nothing new to him. Over the offseason, they adopted the Franklin system.

He and Lone Oak are the real deal.

What class is Lone Oak? With these stats I would figure that we should've heard of him by now. Is he a d-1 prospect, a legitimate one?

They are 4A. Cannot believe either that he has not gotten some good offers and more pub???

The kid is a player, has a great arm, leadership skills, can scramble and pass on the run, has better than average speed and excellent technique and saavy.. He is also a very smart player.. I think he's got the skill and intangibles to play at the D1 level, but, I think he'll get most offers from the Mid-majors and 1AA type teams..

He plays on an undefeated team in class 4A. I think he is d-1 size i cannot believe his name is not out there very much. I think he can play at UK.

I'm not sure he's SEC talent, but, he's a great HS QB and will be a good, solid college QB, most likely at a lower D1 program, like a Mid American, C-USA type.. If he were to opt to go to one of those type schools or a 1AA school like an Eastern Ky, Murray St, he could have a very successful collegiate career, but, if he tries to make it at an elite D1 school, he could well get lost in the shuffle of other great HS QBs and never get the opportunity.

Any photos of this slinger?

Case of a good player obtaining inflated numbers through a weak schedule. I would like to have seen what kind of numbers he would have put up against Mayfield's schedule or Fort Campbell's schedule.

I wholeheartedly disagree with that statement. He can throw the post, fly, swing, curl, screen, and fade routes with great accuracy. I like Haskins' quote in the Paducah Sun, most quarterbacks in this state can't put up those numbers against air.

A few teams around the country pay Franklin's services. He coached at UK, under Mumme and I believe coaches at Troy State University.
