I wholeheartedly disagree with that statement. He can throw the post, fly, swing, curl, screen, and fade routes with great accuracy. I like Haskins' quote in the Paducah Sun, most quarterbacks in this state can't put up those numbers against air.

 

Oh course his own coach will make that comment ...to justify his stats against that weak schedule the coach made , and also to try and help him get a scholarship. But that schedule won't allow anyone to know how he might do if he had good teams to play against. I guess the playoffs will eventually help

Would Robinson put up those gawdy numbers against Mayfield's or FC Schedule??? No, but he would still put up decent numbers! This kid is a great high school QB. (Can scramble, throw, run, and runs a great game.)

 

I look for him to play another position in college, unless he wants to go somewhere like Murray State which would kill to have him! :thumb:

 

It is said that Coach Haskins son, former UK QB Billy Jack Haskins saw Robinson throwing at practice and asked his dad why he was playing receiver. I even heard he was reluctant to make the change...Boy, it has worked out well for all involved!

The Tony Franklin system is a version of the Air Raid offense. He was a QB coach at UK when Mumme and Mike Leach were there. Yes he is the Offensive Cordinator at Troy, and if you need more info on the offense just watch Troy or Texas Tech, or if you're really desperate New Mexico State. Could any of those schools be interested in this kid?

There is no doubt he can make those throws....yes, the kid has talent. But as far as these records go and, to be even more far-fetched, Mr Football votes......he hasn't played the level of talent required to garner such an award. And there are 2 things I don't understand:

 

1. Robinson has nice numbers, but why is he still playing when they are winning by 4 or more touchdowns in the 3rd quarter, and he is STILL throwing the ball. So I really feel that although he has done a great job, his numbers are a little inflated. If you run it in the 2nd half and keep scoring, that seems sportsmanlike, considering teams try and run out the clock, but when a player has 5 or 6 passing touchdowns and his team wins by 35 points that is just silly. If a game is close, I understand throwing the ball that much, but his numbers lie a little bit.......

 

2. What is the coaching staff at LO trying to prove?? Apparently they had a feeling they were gonna be good this year, and they still scheduled they way they did?? does their coach only care about wins?? Does he not understand, being such a great veteran coach, that you have to prepare your team against proven competition to prepare for the playoffs instead of padding the schedule??

 

I just feel that they are overrated............period. Not to mention, most quarterbacks in the state don't have the opportunity to get stats like that....they don't throw the ball every play....and they actually have a running game....LO needs to find out what that is cause they will run into a team that can play defense sooner or later.....they are gonna have to learn how to mix it up.

I said he was a good quarterback. I refuse to label him GREAT because that is such an overused word. Again, his numbers are inflated because of the schedule he plays. He would have had pretty good numbers had they played a tougher schedule. His numbers may be close to what they are now since he would have to play a full game against teams like Tilghman, Mayfield, Warren East, or Hopkinsville.

Power 87, 3 or 4 touchdown lead in the 3rd quarter is not safe just ask Caldwell Co (last year) & Calloway Co who had a 28-7 lead in the 3rd quarter, only to lose 34-28. 40 plus pt lead is safe.
