I think Ashland will win even though they had a tough loss on defense with losing John Stafford to a broken arm and Trey Rodgers is a little banged up...Ashland should cruise.

Ashland beat a very good Greenup bunch last week who had not lost a game in 2 years. Russell is 0-7............... Tomcats bring home the Kiwanis trophy for the 1st time in a while this year. I don't think it will be close.

Greenup's Freshman bunch this year was Mckell and Wurtland last year. They both lost games.

Fwiw, I took home quite a bit of the hardware from that contest, as well as had my picture on the cover of the ADI showing me holding the football without the ball completely secured which prompted coach Epling to command me to do 50 pushups.

 

Oh, and by the way Cubster, Pharoah has placed me 2nd in command and when you run out of food over there where you've sold your soul, come see me and I may be able to throw you a bone!

Oh, Cubster, I sure do enjoy our banter! I too think your devils may have bitten off more than they can chew. Good luck to both teams. Hope you all leave the stadium injury free!

I was just listening to the radio as I drove and almost went into the ditch when I heard the half time score of Ashland 7, Russell 6. No one scored the first quarter. The Kiwanis Bowl always seems to be a good game no matter what happened during the regular season.

But a close game as usual.

Considering Russell's record versus Ashland's record it was a very good game. Ivan and Tracy both said that they were surprised that the Russell freshmen did this good.

 

On a side not I hope that the Ashland player that was taken to the hospital is going to be OK.

Number 25 is Trey Rogers. He moved here from Mississippi after huricane katrina and he does kinda remind me of Chris Hutt as well.

 

The family also lived in Ashland a few years before they moved to Mississippi. They have kind of moved back and forth a few times.
