October 17, 200718 yr I find this to be a very intriguing game to bet on. The line is WVU -24 at the moment. I think Miss. St. shows WVU how they play in the SEC and keeps it closer than that. Thoughts?

October 17, 200718 yr Author Don't get me wrong, I think WVU wins, but they couldn't cover a 25-point spread against Marshall. I think they'll find an SEC defense (even a weak one) to be a little tougher than Marshall.
October 17, 200718 yr I think that WVU will win, but I don't think it will be easy. This is a winnable game for MSU and at 4-3 they still have a pretty good shot at a bowl game. A road win over the Mountaineers would go a long way toward making that goal a reality.

That looks good on paper, but WVU hasn't quite been that impressive this season, IMO. They always get these ridiculous 20+ point spreads and they are struggling to cover. Mississippi State is on the bottom rung in the SEC and they're still 4-3 overall. I think WVU wins, but Miss. St. won't get blown off the field.
October 17, 200718 yr I think 24 is way too much for this game, but I could be wrong. If I were a gambling man, I'd definitely bet on State. I think they'll lose by double digits...a couple of TD's probably. However, I think they'll be much more competitive than a 24 point spread.
