I like Hawaii and I have all year long. Hawaii is 7-0 and they have a good chance at going unbeaten. Brennan is a Heisman QB and he puts up good numbers, why shouldn't they play in a BCS game if he can lead them to a 12-0 season? They play Boise State November 23rd, then we will all watch and see if Hawaii is the real deal. The teams Hawaii have played have a combined record of 11-35. UNLV ( Hawaii beat 49-14 ) lost to at the time #5 Wisconsin 13-20. They beat Utah ( who beat U of L ) 27-0. They lost to 4-2 BYU 14-24. The teams they have left have a combined record of 16-15. They still have Nevada, Boise State, Fresno, and Washington left. I don't see why they shouldn't if they go 12-0, and with Brennan putting up huge numbers.

However, in defense of those young men playing at Hawaii, they are doing everything that is asked of them. If they go undefeated, I dont know how you stop them from a BCS bowl game.

So if I'm 35 and living and still living at home with my parents, I should get to be president?

I mean, in my defense, I've done everything that was asked of me (which wasn't much, maybe walking the dog once a week).

I am a Rainbow Warrior fan and would love to see them get in. I have a hopped up sat dish and I can get their late night home games out in the islands when there is no other live football on. Started watching them a few years ago and their high octane offense made them the most exciting team in college football to watch when you combine the o with their ususally lack luster defense. It's like watching arena football on a full size field. Go Warriors!

Tell me who in BCS football is answering the phone to play Hawaii this season? Everyone knew Hawaii would be a very good team. If they come to your place and beat you, you're in trouble. If you go to the islands and lose, it was expected. No big boy is going to take that chance.

Hawaii had two choices: Take the easy route by scheduling weakly or take a chance against mid-level big conference teams. No way in heck do I believe that NO team like that would play them. UH passed.

\ Brennan is a Heisman QB and he puts up good numbers

SO throwing 4 interceptions one game and 5 in another are heisman numbers?

If Mike Hartline plays in place of Andre Woodson on Saturday and leads Kentucky to a 56-28 win over Florida, Mel Kiper will list him as the #1 sophomore in the country.

If Hawaii's backup quarterback does it, we knock their competition. Why the double standard?

Come on. That's a silly argument. If If If If in the case of Hartline. And I should add "ain't going to happen."

Its already happened with UH. You're trying to tell me that a team that gives up 60 points to a backup qb is "good" competition?

While I agree that, in a conference like the SEC, Hawaii couldnt compete week in and week out. However, in defense of those young men playing at Hawaii, they are doing everything that is asked of them. If they go undefeated, I dont know how you stop them from a BCS bowl game. And, as I said earlier, they would have a problem competing every week in a conference like the SEC, but a bowl game is ONE game, and, as we all know, anything can happen on a given saturday. Just ask Appy State.

I guess it depends on your view of who should be invited. Teams that prove it throughout the season against good competition OR UH playing bad teams and they MIGHT have a CHANCE of winning A bowl game.

Doing everything they ask of them is admirable. It doesn't automatically warrant a BCS game.

How many of the qbs in this country could put up "good numbers" in a system designed to put up good numbers and throwing 60 to 75 times per game?

SO throwing 4 interceptions one game and 5 in another are heisman numbers?

Everybody has their off games. He has 20 TD's and 10 INT's on the year. Yeah, the picks don't look good but the TD's and yards do.

Actualy, he doesn't throw the ball 60 to 75 times a game. He averages throwing the ball 47 times a game. Brian Brohm averages throwing the ball 42 times a game. Woodson, 35 times a game.

Then please allow me to restate: He's throwing 47 times a game against TERRIBLE COMPETITION. I'd put up 150 yards and I'm old.

Well then, I guess you and Brennan should trade places then, since he's so terrible.
