This is a game Fulton City has had marked on their calendar from day 1. Will they learn somthing from the Calloway loss that gives them the edge they need. Will Mayfield QB Logan Armstrong play? Will Mayfield redeem themselves after a lack luster showing last week? Is Fulton City capable of doing what no other 1A first district team has ever done before, win a district game against Mayfield? Alot of questions will be answered Friday

You are correct...although it would have been doubtful for Logan to play this week anyway if he had not.

 

Should be an interesting game Friday night with all the circumstances now...with Mayfield's loss last week to Calloway and the ejection of Logan Armstrong and starting center Trevor Williams. Will Mayfield come out fired up after last week's embarrasing loss...and will the team rally around freshman QB Luke Guhy as they did in the wins over Graves County and Crittenden County with Guhy as QB...inquiring minds want to know???

If Mayfield plays like they did Friday night, history could be made.

Fulton has no passing game, but this will be an outstanding game. With Armstrong bieng out I would say fulton has a great Advantage. History could be made and Mafield goes down for the first time in like 25 years. We will see Friday night, good luck to both teams.

Fulton City is a sound ballclub, period. Mayfield will have to play well to beat them. FC isn't very deep at all and most kids go both ways, but, they have 2-3 real solid players and a couple of star quality players who make alot of big plays. I think they are playing Mayfield at a bad time, though, coming off an embarrassing loss and they'll have to do more than just run the ball to beat them..I think Mayfield bounces back...MFD 31 FC 14

IMHO...the biggest question mark will be Mayfield's mindset...will they come out with something to prove from last week...if they do then I see Mayfield winning this contest 28-7...if they do not...Fulton City has the talent to beat this Mayfield squad and maybe spinning the Cards into a freefall the rest of the way. I feel (and hope) that the Cards will come out the way I expect them to and look to redeem themselves against a very good Fulton City team.

Mayfield should come out with a ROYAL chip on their shoulder......It sounds like FC has the athletes to match, but the question is who will be blocking for the FC running game. I think mayfield has bigger bodies in the trenches, which always helps them in this contest. And I know FC has a great quarterback and halfback, but once again they put up these huge numbers against less than average competition, so Im not completely sold on FC being able to hang with Mayfield.

 

But after last week, anything seems possible at this point. Everyone told me, even the biggest UK fans, that LSU was gonna put a whoopin on them and things could get ugly. Everyone, or almost everyone, picked Mayfield to beat Calloway, and we know what happened there......so we will see....all I can say is, Mayfield better come ready to play!!

I should have clarified more. I WAS referring to his running and play-making ability with his feet, not his arm. . Sorry.....

Fulton's QB and RB are tough running the ball and if Mayfield plays like they did last week, the Bulldogs might just shock the world! Mayfield better tackle better or Williams will make them look silly.

 

Mayfield tucked their tails last week and without Logan Mayfield's offense will not be full strength. I just get the feeling that the Bulldogs can sense they can hang with Mayfield this year. Last year they thought they might and they did down in Fulton. This year, after seeing last week anything is possible. Mayfield on Senior night in a ball control battle.
