Heisman Race

Featured Replies

I've said all along I think Woodson will end up in Miami...it'll be the first time I've rooted for the Fish since the days of A.J. Duhe. :thumb:

Give me a number and alma mater for Mr. Duhe.

I know some folks think that UH's qb should be a candidate for the Heisman because of his stats.

However, consider this: He was hurt and his replacement put up 60 points. What does that tell you?

So is it safe to say that either of those guys can get any girl on campus :D

While Deuce, 02ram and myself still roam at UofL? Sorry, Brohm's not quite that secure in the position of campus stud.

I know he went to LSU, but my guess on his number is #57. Just a guess, to be honest.

Close.

#77

Man last week people were saying look for Woodson's numbers to really drop the 2nd half of the season because of the tougher schedule. But 4 TDs and a come from behind win over the #1 team in the nation later no one can deny that Woodson is a legit Heisman contender as I have been saying all year. He is a great talent and really deserves the attention. Brohm has also got himself back probably in the top 5 I would say.

If they were voting today, both of them would need plane tickets to NYC IMHO.

If you remove McFadden's accomplishments from last year, is he even considered?

Hart has more yards and touchdowns. The ypc are close. Plus, he hasn't put Arkansas on his back and carried them like last year.

McFadden's stats through the first 6 games last year - 107 rushes, 628 yards, 6 TD's. The difference - Arkansas was 5-1 with wins against Alabama and Auburn. McFadden's worst game - 9 rushes for 42 yards and no TD's in a 14-50 loss to USC. Best game - 20 rushes for 184 yards and 2 TD's in a 20-0 win against Utah State.

McFadden's stats through the first 6 games this year - 147 rushes, 822 yards, 7 TD's. The difference - Arkansas is 3-3, lost to Kentucky, Alabama, and Auburn. McFaddens worst game through the first 6 - 17 rushes for 42 yards and no TD's in a 7-9 loss to Auburn. Best game - 33 rushes, 195 yards, and 2 TD's in a 38-31 loss to Alabama.

Woodson has to be in the lead, espicially with McFadden playing below par last week.

I like Woodson for the lead also. I honestly don't know who SHOULD have the lead. Will Hart miss any games for his injury?

A little more in-depth look:

Brohm

4-3, 201/297 (68%), 2,765 yds, 13.8 ypc, 9.3 ypa, 23 TD's, 4 INT's

6-1, 156/245 (64%), 1,786 yds, 11.5 ypc, 7.3 ypa, 21 TD's, 4 INT's

Woodson

Remember when last year things were almost the exact opposite? Brohm had the better record and Woodson had the iimpressive stats.

Minus the TD's I would take Brohm's stats last year over Woodson's. They were very close though.

Let's not forget about Tebow. I would hate to see it but if UF goes 10-2 or 9-3 and he keeps up what he did against LSU then he would definitely be a legit candidate.

Right now i see Andre and the front runner.

Hart is a stellar athlete but his TEAM struggled early

Brohm same thing as hart

McFadden not so hot last week

Harell has a tough schedule in front of him and might not play so hott

Mr. Woodson has a team 6-1 and just beat the no.1 team.....ding ding ding
