I have always supported him, but to be honest, while I thought he would make UK football a team to reckon with and be competitive, .... what he has done is simply marvelous!

Plus, you do not need to be in a popularity contest!

His supporting cast has been huge IMO! Joker deserves a ton of credit, Smith changed the defensive attitude I think and Saunders has made all the difference in the world with Woodson!

:thumb::thumb: This has been brought up before and I took my BIG serving of crow then and will proudly have another. I jumped the gun and misjudged and have admitted it. :thumb:

I agree that's part of the job but I think the credit goes to the whole staff. What UK has done on offense with their check system has been amazing. Woodson went from a really frustrated QB that didn't know if he belonged at KY too a heisman hopeful! That goes to Joker and Saunders IMO.

That's a law of great leadership in surrounding yourself with good people.

Agree. You always look better w/ great help. I am a paranoid fan that is already worrying about wheter or not UK can retain all of those assistants after this year.

They named the field at Oregon after Brooks because of what he did for Oregon football, ... from the cellar to the top in the Pac 10. Could this happen at UK? He has certainly stood his ground, done it the right way, assembled a solid group of assistants, promoted Brown when many wanted a D coordinator from outside, got Sanders when he fell on the blade for Fulmer.

 

I would hate to see him run for governor because I like him, and don't care much for politicians, especially the 2 we have running right now!

 

There have been a few on here (you know who you are) who have continued to talk down Brooks and Woodson. All I can say is that your silence right now speaks volumes. But I guess that is what winners do, ... silence their critics!!!

Obviously the Widcats have made many of us nay sayers shut up.

 

Its great to see the UK playing physical football!!! I really don't think I've ever watched a Kentucky team be as nasty as they were today.

 

But what about not calling Time Out before the LSU field goal in regulation:confused: I know Brooks was counting on OT, but I'd call the TO and give my team a chance with a few seconds left on the clock if the points were good.
