October 15, 200718 yr Three years ago my son hurt his collarbone at practice. Momma and I were taking him to see our Doctor. I waited in the car because there was special news conference where the UK AD was gonna anounce whether the coach was going to stay or be let go. I sat there thinking how unfair everyone was and how they knew nothing about football. Card fans on here? I was glad when Mitch said "Coach Brooks is staying".
October 15, 200718 yr This is one of the reason I'm getting ticked at a lot of UofL fans as of late... Granted, I haven't exactly thought of Kragthrope as an A+ coach, but I'm not ready to throw him to the wolves. Someone on facebook was trying to sell him in the marketplace... I'd rather get rid of the fan (seriously, I knew him in middle school, thumbs down to that guy). Rich Brooks has become a good example of patience and perseverance, and I hope our fans can learn to support Coach K sooner rather than later.
October 15, 200718 yr This is one of the reason I'm getting ticked at a lot of UofL fans as of late... HUGE difference though. Perennially bad program on probation vs. up and coming team that just won a BCS bowl. You've got to give K longer than a year, but they're losing a LOT of talent after this year, so next year may be worse.
October 15, 200718 yr Dig up my some of my old post...I Said two years ago give Brooks a Lifetime Contract...It's not like UK Football had its Glory days before Brooks...:thumb:
October 15, 200718 yr :thumb::thumb: This has been brought up before and I took my BIG serving of crow then and will proudly have another. I jumped the gun and misjudged and have admitted it. :thumb::thumb:
October 16, 200718 yr I, for one, never wanted him fired. EVER. I have always said to give a coach at least 4 or 5 years to rebuild a team. Charlie Weiss is in the same boat.
