I don't see it. They are good high school players in the 16th region. These boys would have a hard time making the top 10 list in the 11th region. Heck, the reason Maynard is at Elliott is that he knew he was never going to play major minutes at Scott Co.

I really like their team - they were fun to watch in the Sweet 16 last year, but I don't see 4 D-1 prospects there.

 

Guess so !!!! The 4 in question are three junior's and a freshman, and there is only one junior in the top ten in the 11th region. Does that mean then that because no other junior's in the 11th could make the top ten that next year the region will be weak or even that none of the other junior's are above average basketball players or potential D1 prospects.

hoops yoda Jonathon Ferguson could not only play but star for any team in the 11th IMO and the opinion from many coaches at the state tourney who said he would start for any team in the state

I heard from a very reliable source that Western KY University will be checking out Ferguson and the Faulkner twins at open gym sometime this week. IMO they will be pleasantly surprised!!

Let's remember, that the intent of this thread was as sportsfan1977 stated, to let everyone know, that Coach Horn's staff at WKU, will be observing the Faulkner twins and Ferguson.

I have only seen the Elliot Co. boys play once and thought they were pretty nice players, but I believe its too early to tell where they will be going. I honestly can't see all 4 of them playing D-1 basketball. But I do think they have a lot of potential and will be able to play at a pretty good school at the next level.

IMO 3 of those 4 will play D1 if they stay on course and cont to improve.

I also think 5 players that play for Elliott Co. this year will play college ball.

IMO The only team that should beat Elliott in the Region is Rose Hill thats not saying that some team in the Region wont slip up and beat them. Rose Hill has 2 Big D1 players on there team 1 of them a UK commit and the other one will probably pick the school he wants to go to by the time he is done.

Hoops Yoda you need to get out of your central Ky barnstall & away from your horses to watch someone other than the 11th & Scott Co play as you are definitely wrong about this! The twins & Ferguson all would start at Scott Co at the 1,2, & 3 spots! How? they are simply better than anyone Scott Co has mybe not by much but they are. Plus they definitely play more tenacious, just as athletic & Coach Hicks would love them as they are his kind of players. Maynard would not have gotten major minutes but that doesn't say much with all the talent there. However he would have played some last year & a lot this year as Coach Hicks loves shooters. Other than starters he probably would have played as much as any other underclassman last year. Yes there are potentially 4 D1 players @ Elliott but most likely will only be 1 when all is said & done,the big freshman. These kids would definitely be somewhere in top 15 in the 11th. If Elliott had an inside presence they would give Scott Co all they wanted & possibly beat them. Shocking isn't it? Thats why I say you need to see more than just the 11th. I love watching the Cardinals play, its a lot of fun with their effort & style & wish them nothing but success. IMO Scott Co will once again be top 5 in the state good but I do not see them repeating & maybe not even winning the 11th. Why? IMO the lack of a leader. Someone willing to take over now that Mackey is gone & Hundley is the only one with that personality so maybe he can be the guy. Someone must accept that role! All are great kids but the lack of mental toughness or mean streak may stop them from a repeat. Good luck to both teams
