Top players and Teams since 2000

Who do you guys think are the top teams and players since the year 2000?

 

My lists....

 

Teams..

1. 2004 USC - national champions led by Matt Lienhart and Reggie Bush.

2. 2002 Ohio State - upset the favorved Miami Hurricanes in OT in the national championship game.

3. 2005 Texas - led by Vince Young upset the defending national champs USC.

4. 2001 Miami - defeated a good Nebraska team 37-14 to win the national championship.

5. 2000 - Oklahoma - beat a good Florida State team 13-2 to win the national championship.

 

Players..

1. Reggie Bush - had a great career at USC seemed like every time he touched the ball he made a huge play.

2. Vince Young - amazing to watch him play the qb position.

3. Matt Leinhart - very good qb played his spot very good Heisman winner.

4. Ken Dorsey - in 40 games at starting qb at Miami Dorsey's record was 38-2.

5. Mike Doss - shutdown corner for the Ohio State University. Big 10 defensive player or the year, all american.

 

I know their could be some other teams and players listed.

Thats what most people were predicting Ohio St would do to Florida last season. :sssh:

 

That what most people thought USC would do to Texas in 2005. :sssh:

 

Thats what most people thought Miami would do to Ohio St in 2002. :sssh:

 

And neither of those teams were as good as 2001 Miami either.:sssh:

Carson Palmer's USC team in 2002 that beat Iowa in the 2003 Rose Bowl was unbelievably good. That was a top year for college football. They had the 'Wild Bunch' defensive line that all 4 are in the pros, Troy Polamalu, and several offensive starters in the pros.

That is what I was thinking...2002 USC was the best. Beat Auburn, Notre Dame, and Iowa as well as the Pac-10 schedule. I guess they did lose to K-state and Washington though.
