I really dislike the animosity between Carroll and Gallatin fans. I think that Carroll does need to step up and give credit where credit is due. A 6-1 schedule deserves respect, especially from a 2nd year program. I think that Carroll County must persevere, but, in the same respect, quit making excuses. We are really good at that. It seems that we lose only because of injuries, officials, etc., not becuase of ability, plays called or stupid mistakes. Carroll definitely has a reputation of whining a little too much.

 

That being said, this thread is about Gallatin, and I would gladly take a 6-1 schedule. I think they are building their program the right way.

Hey, I would like to say that I am very impressed with the entire Gallatin Co School system for what they have accomplished with football. They took their time, investigated and did not get into a big ol' rush to compete with the varsity level. Coach Browning and his staff have done an excellent job putting thier kids into positions to make plays.I have not seen a single game but with a 6-1 record, I can guarantee this is what happening. I don't care who they are playing.

Their schedule as tough as most 1A teams. Lets see how they do when they get to the play-offs. First round rematch aganist Trimble should be on of the best games in the state that night.

Gallatin is not in my area so Im not really familiar with them but, Im really amazed at the success they are having for a second year football program. People are talking about making the schedule harder when most schools, at this time in their progression, are talking about trying to win a single game. Congratulations to the Gallatin people and enjoy what your team is doing now. At the rate they are progressing, Gallatin will be playing all the teams that you want in the near future.
