October 2, 200718 yr I would love to see Brandon Webb (local guy-Ashland.Ky.) do well and the Diamondbacks advance so I will throw a homer vote for the D-Backs. I just have a feeling though that this may be the year that the Cubs make it to the WS.
October 2, 200718 yr Cubs win, Cubs win, Cubs win. Over a team that I remember you posting something about some stat and saying that stat is the REASON the Diamondbacks do not win the division.:sssh:
October 2, 200718 yr The KY boy proves to be too much for the cubs. Is he pitching all 5 games? Cubs in 4, aside from Webb, they dont have the starting pitching I dont think, this is the Cubs year to break the curse
October 2, 200718 yr Over a team that I remember you posting something about some stat and saying that stat is the REASON the Diamondbacks do not win the division.:sssh: Listen, no one is more shocked than me that this bunch of young guys who give up more than they get won the West. They are a hugely likable team. Plus, you have to love B-Webb being there. That being said, I think the Cubs will have 40% of the fans in Arizona (because of Peoria, AZ) and when they get home Wrigley will be rocking. Plus, I think they have better pitchers behind their ace. Plus they have guys that have a lot of post-season experience. Just for the record, I loathe the Cubbies and like rooting for the D-backs, I just think the Cubs win this series (and probably the next one).
October 2, 200718 yr Aside for the series at the Marlins who just have the Cubbies number, the Cubs have been pretty hot lately, this could very well be the year for the Cubs if the bats stay hot
