September 28, 200719 yr I would be suprised if a big time job like a Tenn (could possibly open up) wouldn't at least consider him as a candidate.
September 28, 200719 yr 1. Yes 2. He will be expected to win with some other team's players if and when he changes jobs. Note: I do think Mark D. does not/has not gotten enough credit. Isn't Mark D winning with John L Smith's players?
September 28, 200719 yr Author Isn't Mark D winning with John L Smith's players? Yes. And the cycle goes on.
September 28, 200719 yr Note: I do think Mark D. does not/has not gotten enough credit. I'll give you that. He recruited some great kids that weren't on a lot of big school radars and they have turned in to a very nice team. He built a very sturdy foundation, nothing I can argue there. As a head coach? September 28, 200719 yr It's a valid question depending on Kelly's motives. Maybe Kelly is like Jim Levitt, who has turned down K-State and Alabama (twice). He (Levitt) wants to build a national power from scratch, instead of taking over and rebuilding one. He wants his job to be the one others covet. I hope Kelly is like that, because keeping good coaches is good for the Big East.

September 28, 200719 yr With the way his contract is structured it shouldn't be an issue until at least 09. I just don't see it as an issue for a few more years...How is his contract structured?
September 28, 200719 yr How is his contract structured? I'm out the door, but in short there is a big buyout early and a lot of very reachable incentives in the first two years...
