I've been on Rudi's case for a while.

How many times can he run into a tackle?? How many times can he miss a cut and just fall down?

With that passing game, a lot of backs could put up the numbers he does. Watson is not great and he made Rudi look very pedestrian.

No way Rudi had a bad game...he has to take every snap at the RB spot and he is a great back

I am very disappointed with JJ. If he can't be our #2 corner this is gonna be a LONG year. Hall certainly is not ready for it yet.

He's terrible. It takes him 5 seconds to start moving.
Come on, you're taking this loss a little too much to heart.

Rudi is not a speed and quickness back. He runs between the tackles. The Bengals have tried desperately to get a speed back but the football Gods won't let us.

Rudi has been very consistent for this franchise over the last 5 years. He carries what 300 times a year or so it seems. It's not right to point the finger at him. AND he had a hamstring issues today.

I wouldn't say he is terrible, he is a decent NFL back, but not a great one. I mean I really believe that most runningbacks that we would put in this backfield would be able to run for over a 1000 yards for the season. Its the same with the Colts, I believe you could stick any runningback back there for a season and they will be productive...However we just cant draft any runningbacks who can stay healthy. I know I really believe we do need a runningback that could actually break some runs to go with this pass offense..

I think that giving up only 24 compared to last week is still a winnable game. I don't put the majority of the blame on the defense this week. 4 turnovers, and the opening kickoff puts us in bad position. I blame special teams and offense before the D here.

Thats true, I just believe that we really could put almost any runningback back there for a season and they could put up a 1000 yards. However as you said for whatever reason we cant keep any other back healthy..

I'm going to have to agree here. 17 carries for 9 yards? My God. Watson comes in and looks great. Rudi just runs into guys? He doesn't make any moves and as stated above it takes him forever to get moving. I'm completely comfortable with Watson back there. Not sure what Rudi's deal (except for being over rated) but he has also coughed it up twice already this season.

I must say the defense really didn't play that bad today at all...I mean it wasn't great but they played good enough to where we could have won this game...

So do the RBs for a lot of teams. He is a decent back. No way close to great.

Does anyone know that what Marvin challenged on that one play? Because as I said before the only thing I can think of, is that for whatever reason he only tried to challenge saying that it was a fumble...

He had Julian Peterson in his face all day..... and he HAD HAMSTRING ISSUES.

You guys are turning on Rudi like he is Corey Dillon it's night right. He has been our backfield the last 5 years. Guess no one appreciates that.
