Even if you are not a Ram fan you have to love this bandering back and forth between a school that has 420 students in grades 7-12 an one that has over 600-700 in 9-12// Long live the undersized, underdog Raceland backs down from no one. Raceland grads you should always be proud of your team whether they are 10-1 or 1-10 . As the Beach Boys used to sing " Be True to Your School"

:thumb::thumb:Absolutely Boss, "it is not the size of the dog in the fight --it's the size of the fight in the dog ;)" and as your name suggest and sang....................."Glory Days" (and you had a few of those :thumb:)

Your right Boss, we may not beat every big school every game, but we have never been afraid to play them. Those games play big dividends come conference and playoff games. Going undefeated would be nice, but it would not matter much if you loose in the first round of the playoffs. And most, non 1A fans, do not realize what 1A is like around the state, it is more like playing the local 2A, 3A, 4A, and 5A teams. So, to get ready for the playoffs Raceland has to play the toughest competition they can.

Also, it's not how big you are, it's how big you play.

Absolutely Correct Ram, and if you are talking Beechwood and NCC (NCC is 2A now) just to name a couple then it is better than most if not all of our area schools.

JMO

Thanks oldrambler I really appreciate it.;);)

Absolutely, ask Ironton about Beechwood from a few years ago, when Ironton was runner-up for the ohio state championship. I'm sure they still have nightmares

Question: I must have missed this but did the QB from Ashland get cleared to play again at Greenup and if so, is he the QB at Greenup?

It has been reported here that he was cleared to play and has been playing WR. Craft has been the starting QB at GC.

Yes he got cleared to play. No he is not playing QB. He is a reciever on offense and a defensive end on defense I believe.

A good apple picker always takes the best fruit and leaves the others behind.

Mahan was cleared to play at Greenup and, as reported above is playing, but not playing QB. Here is the thread discussing the aforementioned topic.
