Should be a great game even though injuries are part of the game you must play with what you have and make no excuses. Raceland still has a tough schedule left.

I don't think anyone was making excuses. We went into the East Carter game knowing we had injuries, and we gave all the credit to East Carter, they deserved to win and did. We went into to the Fairview game knowing we had more injuries and came out with a win, and was glad to get it. We went into the LCA, with, still, more injuries, and expected a worse beating then we took, with many sophomores playing. Missing all three LB, 1 DB, 1 DL, both RB, 2 WR, and 1 OL. I though we did pretty well considering. But, no excuses LCA was the better team and won, they played very well and have a lot of talent. No excuses, just discussion, like is done in every other thread.

Congratulating East Carter on the win.

Greenup 31 Raceland 14

Your entitled to you prediction. Who knows, you might have hit it on the head.

I don't drink but thanks for assuming that, Greenup is much improved and raceland is beat up I think raceland will be lucky to reach 6-4

Unless something happens this week, Raceland is not beaten up anymore. With all the players back, Raceland will be much different then last week. Greenup is much and improved, and I, for one, am glad to see it. 6-4 is OK, because we only have 4 district games, and that is what it is about - district and playoff game. And really only getting the playoffs matters, because almost everyone makes the playoffs, then it is a new season.

And Greenup will get it, Raceland will have a tough time.

Like I said, you are entitled to your prediction for Greenup to win. But, I think Raceland will look a little different then they have since week 1. Most people have not seen Raceland full strength.

Will Raceland win? We will have to wait until Friday, about 10:00pm. But, if you want to judge Raceland on how they have played the last three weeks, you will be surprised. I think Greenup is going to come to play and it will be a great game. Last year was a great game, and I can't imagine this year being anything different. I hope Greenup does well in the rest of the season and makes a good showing in the playoffs. Good luck to Greenup Co.

I beieve that the Rams are taught to "Fear no one but Respect All" ;)

If we win we enjoy it for that night and get back to work the next day for the next game. Should we lose,( and I hate to lose) we wll give credit to the opposition - get to work on correcting mistakes made and to play better the next week. Don't spend too much time celebrating a win and don't spend too much time kicking yourself or don't spend any time making excuses for a loss.

" A team is never as good as people tell them or that they think that they are when winning and.............never as bad as people say they are when they lose.................to me the thing is not to get to high or to low."

That's about all the philosophy that can come up with right now. This s the OldRambler rounding third and heading for bed. :D .

Very well said and respected. Good luck to all teams this week.

Denton, Carver, Smith, Terry and Tolliver all are back. But think what you want. We all need to dream a little sometime don't we??
I am responding to what some people from Raceland have told me. Hope they are able to play and not get reinjured, but it don't matter who plays, they will play with that fire and determination, that makes this rivalary, one of the best. Big game for both teams.
Thanks Cvillecat,we've got a couple dinged up too. Yes I think the ballgame will be won by the team that controls the line of scrimmage, this line was undefeated as freshman and they are all seniors. Our line averages 255 weight average. Also Raceland has a good line cause of coach lewis,he does a good job with it, but it very well could come down to which feild goal kicker, which kicks the best. Big game for both kickers.

The kicking game may be a factor. Sparks is proving to be one the best kickers around. I haven't watched the Reed kid but everything I have heard is that he is also the real deal. It is very rare in high school football that you get to watch two good kickers in the same game.

IMO the team that plays disciplined and does not turn the ball over will come out the winner.

You can throw the records out the window when these two team meet. I am sure both will come out ready to meet the challenge and it should be a great game.

Raceland 31

Greenup County 27

I really look for both team to play great. It will depend on If greenups quaterback thinks fast and looks to see who's open. The rowan co. game was a little better for him. Greenup had a good quaterback monday night, The boy will be a great asset to greenup in the future.

Greenup has 2 good quarterbacks. a sophmore, Cam Crum, 6'1 155 lb. and a freshman Mason Rister 5'11 150 lb. also we have Mahan also.

how have the greenup freshman done this year ? LB

I like Raceland in this one.

how have the greenup freshman done this year ? LB
They have beat Russell, East Carter cancelled, they play Boyd County thursday at 6:00 at Boyd County, they are a big physical team, good overall team speed, good quarterback, they like to play defense.

Even if you are not a Ram fan you have to love this bandering back and forth between a school that has 420 students in grades 7-12 an one that has over 600-700 in 9-12// Long live the undersized, underdog Raceland backs down from no one. Raceland grads you should always be proud of your team whether they are 10-1 or 1-10 . As the Beach Boys used to sing " Be True to Your School"
