Dear KHSAA,

I was wondering were you have been, haven't see a post in awhile. I can see your format, more games. I was really surprised at the stats for how many teams from each class are making the playoffs right now, average of 90% per class. That just amazes me.

SIN BIN More games but with quality teams not with teams that have not won a game all season. You have to be good to get in.

I agree. I think making playoffs should be an accomplishment, like I have said previously. Some people who have posted in this thread want more people to get more games. I can see that as well, but I have to say I am a little fascinated by the tournament with everyone in. But, I still think making the playoffs should be an accomplishment that you have to achieve.

I will disagree with the majority on this point ... I don't think money is the primary motivation for having so many teams in the playoffs.

I think the six-class system came about for competitive reasons ... a lot of coaches and administrators want their teams to have easier roads to the postseason and easier roads once they get there.

I've not followed or attempted to read this entire thread, but I CAN give my thoughts on the realignment. My means of comparison are using just a few of the other top football playing states as examples. Florida, Texas, and California all have 1000+ football playing schools and only have 5-6 classes (FL does have a 1 A&B and 2 A&B)--KY has in the vicinity of 250-260 football schools and has six classes????????

Need more be said?? Can you say. let's give "Little Johnny a Trophy"?? Don't EVER try to tell me again that an All "A" Championship (best of approximately 120 schools--40+%) means less than a KY "Classed" Football Championship, regardless of who or who doesn't sanction it?? Obviously some in this state (other than basketball) want to give everyone a championship--Don't understand it?????????

Your points are very true, but I do wish you would read the entire thread. You seem to have a strong opinion on the topic, and there are many points in the thread to support your argument. If you have some time please read it, I think you will like, and dislike, a lot of it - there has been some good discussion.

all the changes were a diversion to what the real problem is. the recruiting by public schools and those in the L'ville and Lexington area. say what you want but watch who wins year after year. the x's and t's of the state have the best facilities, best coaches, best fans, best support, and best RECRUITS that any one can ask for. players make plays and without the recruiting situation being resolved nor looking like it will for a while it really doesn't matter what is done, especially in 6A.
