September 17, 200718 yr I don't know what was worse, watching Marvin's defense play yesterday or listening to Marvin's press conference. He answers zero questions and gives you nothing to go on. I'd hate to be a reporter but after that one, I'd let him have it. Basically, he said everyone outside of the organization is an idiot when it comes to football...

I just can't stand watching other coaches call someone out after they've tried everything or coaches that go off the deep end because their team played horribly and the Bengals coach says, "We'll keep it in house." He said that schematically the defense was put in the correct positions but they deviated, on their own, from the plan. Than call them out or put em on the bench...GEEZ!!!

"Your very elementary assesment is off base" Why not challenge the call on Edwards? "It's a dead issue.....he rolled forward and that was the spot" How does it feel to lose after seeing your QB throw 6 TD's? September 18, 200718 yr Marvin is rather flippant.... What's wrong with the defense? Isn't that the same thing he has been saying over the course of the last 4+ years? I guess being average is OK....when things go well they all want to chirp...when they suffer one of the more embarrassing defeats in the Lewis Era...they get all tight lipped and the media and fans are idiots. What does he see with his defense that the rest of the Bengal Nation doesn't? It is becoming painfully more obvious that the Raven D made Marvin more so than anything that Marvin had to do with the defense.
