So how does Fort Campbell barely beat non-top-10 Tilghman, on a last-second field goal at home, and earn a #2 ranking?

 

The more you weave this tale, the more your credibility is shot ...

 

 

First of all I was not the only one that ranked FC as high as I did.

Second - other posts also did not include PT in the top ten

Third - PT did not impress me last Friday (if you take away the second quarter the score would have been 23-0)

Fourth - Its not like I'm a voter in the BG or AP polls.....so why is it such an issue that I now have no credibility and am a "hater"? It's my opinion based on PTs record and last weeks game.

Tilghman has played a schedule as good as nearly anyone in the poll. Half the teams you have ranked above Tilghman wouldn't fare as well against that schedule as the Tornado has.

Tilghman's not rated because they are 1-3, when they actually start to win then people will take notice. Any team that is 1-3 doesn't deserve to be ranked for any reason. I'm just curious as to what you have seen from Tilghman that necessitates criticizing everyone else's rankings?

Tilghman's only win is against a mediocre Webster Co. AT home.

I would agree. If PT beats McLean Co and/or Mayfield then they should be ranked in the top ten.

PT should have a great chance against Mayfield, the Cards will likely be without their starting QB and starting LB. Not to mention, this is a rival game that has often gone either way reguardless of the talent.

You're penalizing Tilghman for playing a tough schedule. Tilghman lost to Christian County (ranked in 5A) by a touchdown on the road, then played Graves County (ranked by AP in 6A until this week) to the last minute.

 

I don't see teams like Glasgow, Caldwell County, Fulton City and McLean County being able to do that.

Yeah, I think I do ... some of the teams you rank above Tilghman have no business being above them.

 

Examples ... McLean County beat Murray by a touchdown, a winless Murray team, and barely beat the same Webster County team that got blitzed by Tilghman. Caldwell County lost 56-3 to Lone Oak. Fulton City barely beat a Crittenden County team that's been getting pounded by everyone.

By your standard, they would have to beat teams that may be better than 90 percent of the teams in this poll to earn a top-10 ranking. Ridiculous.

You don't think Logan is coming back for this game? He prob wouldn't want to miss this game for the world, biggest rivalry game in your senior year, but I bet his shoulder won't be fully healed at that point, but who knows, he seems like a pretty tough kid to come out of something like that quick.

Mayfield is chasing a state championship ... it's more important to make sure Armstrong is healthy for the playoffs than to give him a chance to play against Paducah Tilghman.
