Michigan's Henne won't play against Irish

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Injured Michigan quarterback Chad Henne will not play against Notre Dame.

 

Wolverines coach Lloyd Carr did not provide a timetable for Henne's return, listing him Monday as week-to-week. The senior was knocked out of the second half of Saturday's 39-7 loss to Oregon.

 

Freshman Ryan Mallett will start against the Fighting Irish on Saturday at home in a matchup of storied teams with 0-2 records.

ND wins the battle of these high powered offenses 3 to 2.

I am an Irish fan (albeit a mild one) but I truly believe that Michigan wins by something like 34-9

He didn't even do bad in his first game, he needs some wide recievers to catch the ball a little.

How can you say that after just one true start? and look how it came. And plus, look who it was against, Penn State. Clausen will not be a flop at all. Do you not remember Andre Woodson's freshman year? Woodson played in 7 games with 1 start(a 62-17 loss to Georgia) and in that one start he was 17 of 26 for 206 yards and 1 touchdown. Clausen was 17 of 32 for 144 yards. My point is, i am sure that UK fan's didn't expect Woodson to throw for over 3,000 yards and over 30 touchdowns last season. And i am not saying anything bad about Woodson at all, just that his freshman year wasn't to much but look at him now. Clausen won't be a flop, he will turn out to be a pretty good qb if you ask me.

Can you admit you never would have guessed Woodson would put up the stat's he did last year? I like Woodson and I think he is among the best qb's in the nation, what I said wasn't bad at all. Just comparing the two's first real game's and freshman years.

You have pretty much bad mouthed Andre Woodson for the last 3 days, yet keep saying you are not talking bad about him. I dont think you realize what your post sound like. Maybe you do like the guy, but most of your post sound very negative towards him...
