September 5, 200719 yr I realize this is a week old, but I was surprised to read it and even more suprised it hasn't been posted. Johnson to play despite arrest
September 5, 200719 yr Maybe there's not a post, but this has definitely been discussed somewhere here. Arrested because of an outstanding traffic violation. No violence, no controlled substances. No big deal.

September 5, 200719 yr From what I heard it's not as big of a deal as it sounds. Brooks sounds pretty confident that it's not as big of a deal..."It's interesting a young man would resist arrest on the way to see a teammate when he's got his parents coming to town to see him play in a game," Brooks said. "So we'll just have to see how it all plays out." Sorry, Deuce.
September 5, 200719 yr Resisting arrest isn't a big deal?Resisting arrest is always a bad bone head move. But I tend to think this going to blow over.
September 5, 200719 yr Maybe there's not a post, but this has definitely been discussed somewhere here. It was mentioned in the UofL Murray thread after Coach K was critizied for letting Spillman play.

September 5, 200719 yr Resisting arrest isn't a big deal? In this case? No. The description I've seen was that he "pulled his shoulders away" from the officer. When you're a young kid and a cop is arresting you for not having your license/proof of insurance, I don't think thats a crazy reaction. This a complete non issue.
September 5, 200719 yr It was mentioned in the UofL Murray thread after Coach K was critizied for letting Spillman play. DUI vs. Expired license plate. You make the call.
September 5, 200719 yr So the LEX police made the charge up??? How do you think the situation would've played out if it was a 45 year old white guy?

If resisting arrest is in the police report, it IS a big deal, regardless of the situation...
September 5, 200719 yr DUI vs. Expired license plate. You make the call. So it doesn't matter whether or not you break the law, but HOW you break the law? Nice....
September 5, 200719 yr How do you think the situation would've played out if it was a 45 year old white guy? So now we are looking at racial profiling in your eyes? If he jerked away from an officer arresting him enough to make it an issue, it's a big deal...
