Can someone tell me the last time the Red Colonels were victorious over the Blue Colonels?

Thanks,

A few teams came close but there was close to a twenty five year drought for Dixie in this matchup prior to beating CCH in 1999. Since then I think the series is 4-4.

I'm going from memory and I don't remember all the scores but I think this is right:

1999 - Dixie (big)

2000 - CovCath

2001 - CovCath

2002 - Dixie (big)

2003 - Dixie (by 1 in OT)

2004 - Dixie (by 7)

2005 - CovCath (big)

2006 - CovCath

I am taking Cov. Cath to take this win

Cov. Catholic 14

Dixie Heights 8

There is an occasional blowout, but more times than not these games come down to the wire. More than once I remember Dixie being up in the first half only to loose in the 4th quarter.

I believe that was the ONLY PAT Awadalla missed all year.

For Cov. Cath. to win this one it will completey depend on heart and the will to win. If the "spirit" shows up they just may win this. Could be a long hard fought game. But if CCH shows up with a defeatist attitude after the recent losses, it could be another long night for Cov. Cath.

For two years now , this group of players have got it handed to them ! They fought hard and took alot to get to their SR year . This group of Sr's will have this team ready to play week one of a four game season ! :fight: :fight: :fight: :flame: :fire: DIXIE PRIDE !!!!!!!

With a starting Tackle out for that game . ( Tolson ) And Walls coming back , I think the O will be ready this week ! Also , it wasn't a very nice week of practice , the Big man didn't like how they played and fixed some things ! If they just would have stayed with a power game against SK , it wouldn't have been pretty ! ;)

We never are early on. Like it or not, it is not worth trying to argue about. Accept it, I have. Just as I have accepted that we will be a very good football team at years end. You can see the talent and pieces shifting into place, but it never happens fast enough.

If I was to tell the boys anything it is that they need to find a FIERY identity for the offense. When things go bad they need someone to fire them up. Marty usually does it by his actions in the way he runs, but that is only after he capitalizes on an opportunity to showcase it. I was thinking of something a little more vocal...... kinda like a Gumble. Love him or hate him, Scotty was intense and tolerated nothing but intensity and perfection from his team mates. We need that on O.

I think Marty is stepping into the roll of the vocal leader on offense. I've been very impressed with his demeanor on the field. You can see him helping the younger guys, whether it be giving them a hand up off the ground or pointing something out after a play. He's really stepped up his leadership role. And he's yelling a lot more in a positive manner. IMO, with the type of offense they're running, the QB has to be the leader on the offensive side of the ball. He doesn't need to be a screamer to hype everyone up, but he needs to be loud and heard. I just haven't seen that yet this year. Granted, I'm not out their on the field to listen what he is saying, but his demeanor doesn't display it IMO.

BTW, I hope local12 archives their webcasts. And I hope I can find it before I see a score or headline on their site. I've got a wedding tonight, so I won't be able to attend the game.

Must not be a fellow colonel they would no better then to get married on CCH week. :D

We will cheer a little for you.

And to top it off, my buddy is a CCH grad. I've already given him grief over this, and having to miss the UC/OSU game last night do to the rehearsal.

I am told the game will be webcast live and will be captured so it can be viewed later!
