Funny you bring up Jared. Jared's parents were divorced and he lived with his dad in Ft. Thomas. His dad re-married someone in Ft. Thomas and they all still live in Ft. Thomas, before you start that.

I could name about 100 people from the last 20 years that went to HHS, were good athletes and didn't live in Ft. Thomas. Hence Ft. Thomas being an Independent school district...

I believe that Russell here in eastern Ky. is an independent school district as well.:thumb:

Draud?

Blasingame from Ludlow?

Nevels kids from SK?

Not a big deal.

I just prefer playing with home grown kids and winning that way.

Nothing wrong with agreeing to disagree.

No reason to pull the "big boy" reference out.

Yes and I believe they just won a football state championship with Russell kids.

Did they do the same with the boys regional basketball crown?

Nope and you will never once see me defending that situation.

Barking up the wrong tree 6shot.

Sounds like the same tree you're trying to chop down upstate to me.

Matthew 7:3 says "And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?"

Sounds like one is an elm and the other is an oak. Cubster just said that he hasnt ever defended that. Did you read the post you quoted?

This should answer all questions....:D

Let me explain how it works with the Catholics/Privates or whatever you want to call us! :D

It starts with the birth of the child...we pretend to be our own kids sport agent….:ylsuper:

Before they even attend pre-school we are mapping their life to make sure they are given the best of the best. At this point, we start negotiations with Mattel as you know the athletic ball can never get in their little hands at to early of an age. Then next step is to plan for the middle school era and move to negotiations with Riddell in hopes that when we get to the high school level that we can wheel and deal with the “Big Dogs” like Nike, Adidas, Gatorade, etc…In the words of Marcee from Jerry Maguire “he deserves the big four -- shoe, car, clothing-line, soft-drink. The four jewels of the celebrity endorsement dollar.”....and you all thought it was just about going to the private school...:lol::lol::lol::lol:

However even after these negotiations, wheel and dealing and free agenting our kids it seems we ended up with well over $50,000 in tuition, books and other fees for that 12 years of private schooling!!! Now ain’t that a bunch of crap! :irked:

Mike Mitchell anyone?

Nevermind. This is for bball. Highlands still recruits.

So you pay $50,000 for an equal education to what is referred to as a "free" education at say Manual????

You guys don't sound too smart.:D;):bunny::jump::thumb::sssh::lol::p:cool:

I would still support a voucher system to offset that cost for you.

I read it all, and those before it. It's not apples and oranges in my opinion, it's grapes and sour grapes.

Harry Doyle hit the nail on the head.

Can you read and comprehend 6shot?

Asking questions is an attack?

One big question.................... why are some schools so defensive?

I am just trying to learn how privates and successful schools like Highlands work.

If you had been successful and beat over the head for 2-3 years that your success comes from cheating, would you be defensive when another person brings it up 2-3 years later?

Come on LBBC....you know at Manual they just recruit the smart kids....see we recruit all the kids! :D
