How long has it been since Boyle Co. has gone to State? Has it been two years or three years? I say it has been three years. What do you say?

Hard to believe it has only been 2 seasons without a trip to Louisville but that's what happens when you are spoiled like me (and others!).

 

I too think it might have been the third round but I do believe it was one of the Bullitt's that did the trick in '05.

 

Here's hoping that Pardue can get the Rebels progressing through a tough early schedule and be on track for a run in the end. That's made extremely rough by the presence of a great Lex Cath program in the same district.

 

BTW Jumper Dad I noticed your Avatar. David Lee and the boys are back on tour next month. Wonder how many shows it will be before those guys implode?

I think Chuck is as much of the equation as Brandon. Many feel their best teams were the ones with Jeff Duggins at QB (1999, 2000, 2001) because there was so much talent on those teams that went on to play college ball.

 

I believe the run of talent was a huge factor: Duggins, Quinn, Both Leffews, Nichols, Miller, Begley, Jacob Tamme, Overstreet and others.

 

Like you, I don't know what the future holds for Boyle but the aura from Chuck Smith seems to have been fading since his departure.

Bullitt East beat Boyle County, 35-33, in the regional championship (third round) in 2005.
