I think he will get 1 year or less in jail and will get a 1 year suspension from the NFL to be served after he gets out of jail.

So basically, 2 years out of football?

I think he will get 1 year or less in jail and will get a 1 year suspension from the NFL to be served after he gets out of jail.

Sounds about right.

Yeah, no way he skates away free. He's going to jail and then probably won't be seen from again in the NFL. I think the NFL might make an example out of what they call a superstar.

I don't think he'll serve time.

I don't think he'll serve time.

You honestly feel he'll be found innocent??? What leads you to believe that?

Also how does he get banned for life from the league if he's found innocent?

Black Ant - You think if he goes to trial he would be found innocent?

I would LOVE to hear this reasoning......

Yes he did wrong their is no way that can be denied but what gets me is the way the media is racially spinning this. It's not a black/white issue it's a man that was illegally dog fighting and gambling on it. Anytime it comes on tv I turn the channel but my choice was he will be banned from the league for 1 year.

Even if he's not banned which I think he will be... who would hire him?

Sounds like to me Vick has two options.

1) Plead guilty to get a lesser sentence and possibly go to jail for a year. If he pleads guilty, the NFL will ban him for life, IMO.

2) Challenge the charges and go away for a long time. The NFL may still ban him but there's no team in their right mind that would take him close to 40...

Football wise, Vick's screwed. The NFL just has to wait for Vick to decide which option he is going to take and they'll follow suit.

RICHMOND, Va. -- The Virginian Pilot newspaper in Norfolk, Va., is reporting that federal prosecutors are offering Falcons quarterback Michael Vick a plea deal on dogfighting charges that would require Vick to serve at least one year in prison.

Sources have told CBS 46 that Vick has until 9 a.m. Friday to accept a deal or face new charges in a superseding indictment.

I think Vick will serve between 1 and 2 years in jail, and the NFL will ban him indefinitely. And, they'll leave it at that until he tries to play again. I think that would be the best course of action by the league...just put an indefinite time on it and re-visit it when and if Vick attempts to play again. However, at this point, it looks like some big odds of Vick ever playing in the NFL again.

I heard on one of the stations that he's possibly facing animal cruelty charges brought on by the state...
