NKY MLB Draft History

I can't remember for sure, but I think Lenny Spicer from Walton was drafted pretty highly. Don't know what ever happened to him though.

Off topic a bit but here's a good trivia question: Holmes grad Leo Foster did something that only one other major leaguer has ever done in the history of baseball in his major league debut, what is it? (Hint: He was the only one to do this until 2002 when Seattle's Ron Wright also did it)

Didn't he hit into a triple play?

Glaser had a ton of potential.....RandyJohnson body and like you said sticky.. he could bring the heat. Its too bad he didnt pan out and make it to the Majors but that just goes to show you how tough it can be and you need a ton of luck.

Berger making it as far as he did was a real shocker to me.

Don't know how high in the draft but Bobby Barton(Holmes '63/'64?) probably played in the majors longer than anyone in the NKY area.

Scott Wiggins(NCC-Yankees), Brandon Berger(Beechwood-KC), Tim Grogan(CCH-?)

I'd guess Barton was earlier than 63/64.

Grogan was a 40th+ pick.

Directly out of Boone?

Believe he was right out of Boone .Looks like he could still pitch ,still throws hard .Apparently hit low 90's in HS .

What about Wera (sp??) from Beechwood ?Believe he is in the Mets organization .Did he get drafted out of HS?
