There are so many questions about the backups, I think the starters only play the first 2 series too. Maybe three depending on how long Detroit's drives are.
August 9, 200719 yr Our young corners will be in there a good time. Brooks has to at least play the whole first half. They need to see where they stand with him and how he reacts to in game performance. Starting D will play the whole 1st quarter and them some in the second IMO.

(outside of Joseph who's not playing) Brooks has to at least play the whole first half. They need to see where they stand with him and how he reacts to in game performance. IMO, not going to happen. They had him slated as the #1 prior to training camp. Behind him, they don't have anyone who's a true middle linebacker, outside of possibly Hartwell. They will not risk playing him the entire first half in the first preseason game IMO.
