True blue (and gold)
Does anyone besides me think that the ESPN coverage is just a big snoozefest? Give me Darrell Waltrip and Larry McReynolds anyday... And I miss ol' BP.
Ms Liberty
It doesn't seem that they are interested in the race, Just talk, talk, talk.
Bandit29
I love the coverage, I think there is less commericals and Rusty does a great job.
stark
I love the coverage, I think there is less commericals and Rusty does a great job. Less promos for things like "The Closer" and "Bill Engvall's Idiot Hour" and stuff like that. ESPN is clearly better with the promos and commercials. I think the coverage has improved from Indy to Pocono. It is a little dry in the booth though.
leo42171
ESPN has a bad stretch of races to broadcast. As a TV viewer I always thought that Indy, Pocono and the next race at Watkins Glenn are the most boring to watch anyway. Michigan isn't much better but when they get to August 25th at Bristol that will be ESPN's true test.

TomSportsHack
Less promos for things like "The Closer" and "Bill Engvall's Idiot Hour" and stuff like that. ESPN is clearly better with the promos and commercials. I think the coverage has improved from Indy to Pocono. It is a little dry in the booth though. That's the way it's supposed to be. The drivers, cars and teams are the stars; the people in the booth are presenters. Fox's crew seems more interested in promoting themselves and their TV network than in the race on the track. mountainmojo68
Suzy Kolber and Brent Musberger care nothing about this sport and it shows. I like Rusty the announcer even less than I did Rusty the driver(I didnt think that was even possible LOL!). Brad Daugherty is a race fan from way back and he does OK as does Andy Petree and of course Ive missed Dr. Jerry Punch calling the races since ESPN quit carrying the races in 2000. These networks kill me when they get people who dont know and dont care to know about racing to do the races (Chris Meyers on FOX). ESPN would be wise to get someone like John Kernan and Buddy Baker on theyre show. I think that would make the coverage that much better.
IronCat
Everytime I see the clean air / dirty air replay I    It seems to me thats the only things that come out of Rusty's mouth.. Im so tired of the little blue and orange streaks on the cars. I agree with what somebody already said.. bring back Darrell and the boys. Kolber to her credit has worked hard to understand how the sport goes, so I'm OK with her at this point. Dr. Punch was a pit reporter last time ESPN carried races and this is first time as the lead broadcaster in the booth. Allen Bestwick needs to be the lead man, with Dr. Punch back on pit road JMO. Rusty was fine during the Indy race with Dale Jarrett bouncing comments off him late in the race. Jarrett has a little more personality than Wallace and I wouldn't be surprised to see Jarrett in the booth next year for someone and not driving. Rusty should take some personality lessons from his brother Kenny, who is awesome on the Speed shows. I'm sorry TomSportsHack, but I like a little seasoning with my dinner. I don't like dry commentators. Give me a little "boogity boogity".
Royal Uncle
Joe Namath hit on Suzy Kolber. If she's good enough for Broadway Joe, then she's good enough for me.
