hardball
I applaude the coach for choosing natural turf. A little more work involved, but well worth it...
STRIKE3
I just wish Superintendent Craft and Board, would have acted sooner on getting this field completed, for Coach Dean and the community. Prior to construction of the school, grading was ready on the field, until it was used to store/stage construction materials and on-site trailer. TigerFan2709
So how does a school qualify for these Division of Facilities Management monies? It's great that they got the field but what does a school have to do in order to get money for this? How do they determine who gets what money? The Professor
Congratulations to Coach Bryan Dean and the Letcher County Central baseball community.....and the Letcher County BOC is to be commended.:thumb: I was at the championship game of the 14th regional tournament at Perry County Central this year and talked to several LCC fans after the Cougar's victory. They were one happy bunch of people, and you could see the pride in all their faces. One guy told me that they had a great group of young players in their system and the school's baseball future looked really bright, that several of their key players on this year's team were 9th and 10th graders. I think they have the right guy to guide them into that future.
Hasbeen
Add this to their football stadium and it would be hard for anyone to match their athletic facilities.
Master of the Hardwood
Will be a great place to come for Football, Basketball, and now Baseball. I would say winning the Regional tourney helped their funding out too! Congrats to the Cougars and Coach Dean, great coach and person.
