Double Pump Best of Summer in L. A.

Featured Replies

Team Kentucky's season ended tonight in LA, after a long but fun 3 weeks. It was a pleasure coaching every single one of them this spring and summer! All of them have come a long way the past four months, both individually and as a team! I may be bias, but I think we had some of the best shooters in the state! As well as having a fast and quick team. I am sure many of them will go on and play in college, they got a lot of exposure in the last three weeks.

Congratulations, SportsGuy and Team Kentucky. You've represented your name well and we in Kentucky are proud of you. Good luck to all our Kentucky kids in their upcoming school basketball season.

Hey, Warrior, that's great. I did not understand that they were still playing. Do they have a game today at 10:15 PDT? How did the individual players do yesterday? Are the other DS teams no longer in it?

They were to play today at 10:15 PDT but the schedule got messed up and they missed a game last night. Due to flight schedules, it would have been their last game anyway today win or lose. Don't know how individuals did because the website doesn't list high point like Vegas did. Anyway, shooter must already be gone, think other DS teams are finished also. Tourney is over today.

Kentucky teams had a great summer of great basketball. Best wishes to all and good luck in the year to come.

DS 16 were down by 15 in the 1st half against an LA team. Pulled to within 10 by halftime and pulled away by about 7 by game's end. Don't know the exact points, but Ethan Faulkner probably lead scoring with about 18, Andy Donovan had 12 or 14 all in the second half, and Johnathan Blevins was in double figures or close. Clint Stepp hit a couple of threes early. DS 16's played all U 17 teams in the tourney.

I think Ethan Faulkners performance this summer has shown what I have been saying for 3 years. IMO he is definitely top 5 in the state in his class. Definitely top 5 point guards in the state among all grades. He has really grown into this position. You will always get tremendous effort & rarely get an off game.

Thats a very bold statement.

It may be to some but not from what I have seen, however everyone will have their own opinion and I do not have a problem with that.

No problem being bold when you're also being positive. These great kids all have their boosters and it's good to give them individual praise now and then. Way to go, Ethan.

Hey, KHSB1 you have to be missing all the high school action up here during the summer months not to mention during the season. Hope all is going well for you and you are enjoying yourself down in "Billy D land".
