Scott will work through this issue, as he's familiar with multi-sport athletes from his Brossart days. Seven of the eight BB basketball seniors will be playing collegiate sports, and only one at this time in hoops!! If Campbell makes another run in football, they could report even later however; but he'll work it out and prepare accordingly. What will be interesting will be how the Camels take to his defensive preachings, after playing a somewhat different style the last few years?? Watching Coach Enzweillers' JV team last year would seem to indicate they'll be fine!!

Purely speculation, but it would be my guess that since the former coach left so late, that all the assistants were already hired. So I would assume Bradshaw, Mady, and Enzweiler will be staying for at least this year. I guess only the principal and AD know for sure.

The bigger challenge for Coach Code is how he determines how to fill the bench with players. Last years junior class was to large, probably my biggest fault with Coach Reitz. I see more talent coming up and if the true goal is winning I see many tough choices.

While I think Brad Carr would have been a great choice because of the head coaching experience and intensity Code makes the most sense for all parties involved. If he can get the CC players to buy into the defensive intensity that BBHS has shown over the years they will be a force to be reckoned with.

 

No question about it, proven experience as a winner is always a plus. My guess is that it just wasn't time for Carr to make a move.

Does Code have his principal certification?

From what I understand, the CCH administration was looking for someone that could fill the role of coach and assistant principal as well.

Not sure if any of the other candidates possessed the administrative credentials that CCH was looking for in their coaching search.

That position was filled from an assistant principal at another school whose position had been eliminated. No administrators coach at CCHS. That stopped with the last super. five years ago.

They did persue a coach and he was offered the assistant principal's position but turned it down.

If what you are saying buckman is true, then it seems like Coach Carr was offered the job but decided to stay.
