gold sunrise
I have been reading several threads on other regions and individual school for this coming year. We all know that Mason Co will be ranked #1....how would you rank the other teams in the region? Alot of the teams were hit heavy with graduation and we should see alot of new faces in the region this year. Due to this I find it difficult myself to rank the rest of the region. Thought it would be fun now to see all of our predictions and then review them after the season. So how would you all rank the rest of the region? I will give mine a little later. Interesting that you have Montgomery Co that high. I can see them top 5 but #2?? Also CCHS #5 and they are looking for a new coach. I appreciate your list...I am really having trouble with mine... HOMELESS CAMEL
I loved watching Scott play last year in the 10th tournament, great fans and players that were fun to watch. I think the starters were all seniors, much like Brossart. So who knows how those teams will develop as the year goes on. We know what Clark Co lost, I don't know what the other schools are bringing back. I know a few people joke about Montgomery Co playing an "A" school schedule, so if that's the case again this year, we might know how good they are til later in the year. You will have one or two teams come out of nowhere and have really good season, I just don't know who those will be. So I will just take a cop out answer and say it's a DRAW after the Royals. I agree...that is why I wanted to get everyones thoughs now and then revisite this thread in post season. So far I have #1 Mason #2 GRC We lost alot to graduation that will be imposible to replace, but we have starters Miller, Stenzel and Hatton returning, Bennett is a top 10 player in the region this year and with his experience I feel should put us at #2. I just didn't know how other posters felt. 3-? I am not sure how to rate yet....was wanting to get some feedback and your reasons for why you ranked a certain way.... I think Campbell has a good chance at being one of those "out of nowhere" teams. Several seniors, lots of varsity experience, depth, a go-to guy, but a little size challenged if I'm not mistaken. If they make the right coaching hire, I could see them making a run, expecially with District rivals Scott and Brossart devistated by graduation. I'm afraid however, everyone's playing for second place this year if Mason stays healthy??
AHSPanther23
1-Mason Co. 2-Clark Co. 3-Montgomery Co. 4-Harrison Co. 5-Campbell Co 6-Pendleton Co 7-St. Pats 8-Brossart 9-Scott 1 Mason 2 GRC 3 Montgomery 4 Harrison 5 Campbell 6 Pendleton 7 Scott 8 BBHS But Basically all you have to see is the top five all else is a dark horse. Interesting you have St Pat listed above Brossart and Scott.
All In
Don't forget about Calvary Christian. They're young, but looked fundamentally sound and well coached last season when I saw them play. They could very well crack the top 10 and go as high as 7 or 8 with all of the mediocrity in the 10th next season.
