East Cobb is a dominant team from what I understand.

If you have ever been to the East Cobb Sports Complex in Marietta, Ga. and participated in the Perfect Game Tourney you would see that the East Cobb program produces some of the top baseball teams in the nation. There are usually about 150 teams from across the country that play in this particular tournament, and East Cobb traditionaly has about a dozen or so teams participating in the tourney and they are all VERY GOOD.

The East Cobb area has to be, without a doubt, the ametuer baseball capital of the world.

Not a good road trip for the N KY teams. Due to some teams dropping out the Kings had to play East Cobb and Brentwood in a back to back DH and the Inner County Terriors the next morning. Got hammered by East Cobb and lost a couple close ones in the other two. Not a bad season though. Finished something like 38 & 14. Talking to some of the Royals guys down there and they seem to be experiencing the same fate.

The Colonels today rebounded from a 1-2 start in their pool (3rd place) and won both games today against the Cincinnati Flames and Canadian Lightning. The team's offense is starting to come around in this tournament and it couldn't have come at a better time...

When do the Colonels play? Who do they play? And what is the format?

The Colonels lost today playing the number 7 seed (local team) Nashville Knights. While the Colonels didn't help themselves playing "D" (they were the number 6 seed) and I hate to come off as a whiner, but the calls from the man in Blue from behind the plate were a bit strange today. The Knights pitcher had a very good curve ball, however it broke very late and IMO broke going into the catcher glove not as it went past the batter or over the plate. Far too many pitches were called strikes that were far too inside as they went past the batter, and a number of strikes that broke over the plate were called balls as they wound up outside, once the catcher caught them. Man in Blue seemed to call the balls and strikes based on where the balls were caught, not as they went past the batter and over the plate.

As I have just gotten home, I will post the scores and results tommorrow.... Just a tad tired after the drive home....

The Nashville Knightd beat the Brentwood A's by a score of 14-2 and now play the Colorado Jets for the Sandlott WS Championship.

After losing to the Knights and now seeing them make it to the finals, I guess the loss wasn't so bad after all, but.......

The Royals loss to the Colorado Jets doesn't look so bad either. They lost 3-2 after leading 2-1 into the bottom of the sixth. Royals had three runners picked off,two of which were on second base. Travis Hurd went the distance giving up 3 runs, 2 earned, srtiking out 8 walking 0 and 1hbp. He only gave up 4 hits two mistakes for homeruns.
