The Royals loss to the Colorado Jets doesn't look so bad either. They lost 3-2 after leading 2-1 into the bottom of the sixth. Royals had three runners picked off,two of which were on second base. Travis Hurd went the distance giving up 3 runs, 2 earned, srtiking out 8 walking 0 and 1hbp. He only gave up 4 hits two mistakes for homeruns.

I agree, Hurd once again deserved a better fate in this game. He pitched outstanding, he was never in any jams the whole day. I didn't see any radar at this game but he was throwing the ball by the Jets all day. It was the hardest I saw him throw all summer. The one home run was a no doubter, but the other was to a short porch and was wind aided. The Royals got into a habit late in the season of leaving alot of runners in scoring position and getting picked off which cost them multiple games down the strech. Also in the game I witnessed one of the finest catches I have ever seen. Skylar Stein in center field, on a dead run straight backwards, flying through the air parallel with the ground, makes the catch. To watch him play outfield this whole summer was truely enjoyable.

The Bluegrass Stars led the Colorado Jets 2-1 going into the 7th and eventually got beat in extra innings. The Stars made some excellent plays in the outfiled and at the plate in throwing two runners out at home. Got excellent pitching but could not get the big run across. Excellent tournament with great competition!
