Track the Reds: 2nd Half

Really? I had no idea he'd been on the DL....:D

That affects the percentage of the time he strikes out? :p

I'm not saying that Dunn is better than Howard...clearly. I'm saying they are WAY more similar than most people think. Howard, in spite of LY, will not be a .300 hitter...or even a .280 hitter. He is, like Dunn, a three outcome guy (K, BB, HR). He is a VERY good one, but he is what he is. He also doesn't have the track record Dunn does (let's see Howard hit 40 bombs for 3 or 4 years in a row), but he does have a ton of potential. I like Howard fine, I'm simply pointing out he K's as much, if not moreso, as Dunn. Had he not missed a few weeks he'd be leading the ML's in K's, not Dunn.

You know what? Who cares. Howard is a quality major leaguer in spite of the K's and so is #44. That, my friend, is the bottom-line.

Hey I agree with you 100% I was just saying. :D

Nice job by Belisle to get out of the jam. Seems to be a carbon copy of his start against the Mets.

Chris Welsh has mentioned a few times, including tonight, that one way to see that a pitcher has a good fastball is when the batter fouls a pitch straight back.

Doesn't the fact that it went straight back mean the batter had it timed pretty well?

That's what I heard growing up, leave it to Chrissy to say something that "smart".

Homer has been placed on the DL with a strained right groin.

Top 2: Two-out single for Freel. Freel's 15th stolen base. Hatteberg disagreed with CB Bucknor's 3-1 call. I'm guessing CB Bucknorwill be questioned more than once tonight. He's not good.

I guess that guy. Thats from CTR's blog.

It's funny I didn't hear a word about the move Pete had that pretty much saved the game yesterday, when brought Freel in to have 5 infielders. All I heard about was his ability/inability to manage the pitchers late in the game that we won and our pitchers put up 19K's.

Top 4: OK -- the idea of cheerleaders at a baseball game bothers me. But, well, the Mermaids. Um. Yeah. I gotta make sure I get singles for tomorrow.

Because I'm that bored, I looked up the following useless information.

Belisle has pitched 113 innings through 4 tonight. He has had only 34 1,2,3 innings. 16 of those came in April.
