Which is exactly why it was important to have the game on national tv with no competition. If you wanted a football fix on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, you watched UK/UL. And that was coast to coast. Now, nothing. Guess UK got what they wanted...

I totally agree that's what happened. Emphasis on 'thought.' I think he's wrong, and the way it's all turned out gives the Cardinals more of an advantage while still potentially sacrificing the TV coverage.

BTW nobody knows if he would have switched the game if he knew Louisville would have a new coach. And I don't care either way, I want a couple of games under each team's belts. If that gives either team an advantage (which is doubtful) so be it.

I think that if he continues to go winless in this series much longer, one way or another the decision will be out of his (in your mind capable and who am I to disabuse someone of their fantasies) hands. Either UK won't continue the game, or Brooks won't be the man on the sidelines.

Who Cares?......My gosh it's one game.

I for one do. As a Louisville fan I have gotten used to watching every game LIVE. I know UK fans are used to 2:00 AM tape delays and as I understand the rules regarding SEC games on TV, unless this game is picked up by one of the networks that is the only time that it will be allowed to be broadcast in Louisville. Call me spoiled, I'm used to good football and live games, UK is not used to either.

Nobody is not picking this game up because they don't think it will be a good game. Louisville will be a very slight favorite with the oddsmakers (1TD or less.)

For "big brother" UK fans certainly seem to put a whole lot of pride in a game that they LOST. And how do the odds makers calling this a 1 TD game not equate to an anticipated "good game"?

I've heard this from several people but what I never hear is an answer to two simple questions.

1. If Louisville is so good that Brooksie can't get his team ready for them with an entire off season, how will 2 more weeks make any difference?
   
2. Assuming that Kentucky is able to improve enough in two week to make them competitive then doesn't it also stand to reason that Louisville will also get better and negate any advantage they may have gained?

Your last sentence to me is crazy, and typifies the arrogance I see out of U of L fans, which really works in UK's favor. Everyone seems to have forgotten that a play which looked like a sure touchdown and ended up being a lost fumble on the goal line the last time these two teams played in Commonwealth was all that separated the two teams. UK is very much improved since then, and I expect the series to get a lot more interesting RIGHT NOW.

And you see no arrogance in any of your statements regarding Louisville fans? We should just accept UKs will and get on with our lives? And again you hang your hat on that last game that you LOST. UK may be improved but then again so is Louisville.

 

As to playing to anyones favor, don't you think that the attitude of UK fans regarding the last game in Lexington will play to Louisville's favor as they will be more inspired to show the score of that game was just a fluke?
