Music verses you really like

Featured Replies

I know alot of you guys don't like Mellencamp but this verse from Human Wheels is just really deep, and thought provoking.

This land today, my tears shall taste

And take into its dark embrace

This love, who in my beating heart endures

Assured by every sun that burns

The dust to which this flesh shall return

It is the Ancient dreaming dust of God

It may come across as emo, whiny and unoriginal, BUT it has stuck with me since I first heard it 17 years ago.

Clock keeps ticking, but nothing seems to change

Problems never solved, just rearranged

I think of all the times I have had, so few good, so many bad.

How Will I Laugh Tomorrow, When I Can't Even Smile Today by Suicidal Tendencies

You have to love the lyrics from Brad Paisley's song....

"I want to check you for ticks". :ylsuper:

All- American Rejects - Move Along

Speak to me, when all you got to keep is strong

Move along, move along like I know you do

And even when your hope is gone

Move along, move along just to make it through

Move along

I know we can't all stay here forever, so I want to write my words on the face of today

And they'll paint it

You Don't Know How It Feels

....................

Like autumn leaves his sense fell from him

An empty glass of himself shattered somewhere within

His thoughts like a hundred moths

Trapped in a lampshade

Somewhere within

Their wings banging and burning

On through endless night

Forever awake he lies shaking and starving

Praying for someone to turn off the light

.......................

I've been waiting for awhile to meet you

For the chance to shake your hand

To give you thanks for all the suffering you command

And when all is over and we return to dust

Who will be my judge and which one do I trust

You're the champion of sorrow

You're the love and the pain

You're the fighter of evil

Yet you're one in the same

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound...that saved a wretch like me.

Or my wife ran off with my best friend...and I miss him. Is that a true verse?

Every time I hear the song "If" by Bread I want to cry.

The game never ends

when your whole world depends

on the the turn of a friendly card.

Outkast- Church

Life, is nothin but a dream, so peaceful and serene

Unless you're bein evil then you on the devil's team

Well I receive what you want to believe

But soon you'll have to sew those bad seeds

Please, any man can ask, to get a pass

or a cleansing of sin to grant another chance

Perhaps another glance of the light at the end of the tunnel

Talk to the coach or break out the huddle

Whatever should you fumble your rebuttal should be subtle

Cause he who lives in the upper room is never gullible

As you survey the syllables and sentences

The question that I'm merely tryin to pose is as simple as me sayin

Chorus

But what about repentance?

What about detention?

What about you eating dinner in the devil's kitchen?

But what about repentance?

What about committing the same sin

over and over again and again and ah..

Turn around

Turn around

It's on the other side

Feel the sound

Feel the sound

It's comin' from deep inside

It will fill you with emotion if you

Let it be your guide

So

Turn around

Turn around

It's on the other side

In a single timeless moment

When the old was cast away

The new was born into a world of simple joy

And my life is still for living

Though it's seen through different eyes

And the knowledge of the truth's

A burden easy to bear

(Chorus)

Relentless, unchanging

Though the world is still before me now

I'm seeing forever

I will keep my heart and mind with you

So joyously I'm waiting for the day

Now Suzy Skrew had a partna named Sasha (Sasha), Thumper (Thumper)

I remember her number like the summer

when her and Suzy yeah they threw a slumber - - party

but you can not call it that cause it was slummer

Well it was more like spend the night

Three in the morning yawnin dancin under street lights

We chillin like a villain and a "brotha" feelin right

in the middle of the ghetto on the curb, but in spite

all of the bull"crap" we on our back starin at the stars above

(aww man) Talkin bout what we gonna be when we grow up

I said what you wanna be, she said, "Alive" (hmm)

It made me think for a minute, then looked in her eyes

I coulda died, time went on, I got grown

Rhyme got strong, mind got blown, I came back home

to find lil Sasha was gone

Her mamma said she with a "brotha" that be treatin her wrong

I kept on singin my song and hopin at a show

that I would one day see her standin in the front row

But two weeks later she got found in the back of a school

With a needle in her arm, baby two months due, Sasha Thumper

I've got a room at the top of the world tonight.

I can see everything tonight.

I've got a room where everyone can have a drink

and forget those things that went wrong

in their lives.

You're poison
